What? Where? DJ Equipment place in Toronto???

OK I am thinking of getting something in addition to my setup what are the best places to shop in and around T dot for DJ Equipment? And if you guys could rate them for me too. What are the cheapest places, best service, etc.

And if you could post addresses as well, please?

thanx

As i said before...

METRO SOUND.

Just go to College and Yonge, and walk north on the west side, stop when you see a shop with guitars and shit in it's window.
it's about a 1min walk north of College itself.

If you want to find some other places, look in the yellow pages and see if there are any places that rent party equipment. Those are the kind of places around here that also sell DJ equipment and maybe you can get deals to try out certain stuff before buying it.

i don't know the same of the store.. but it was on the west side of young, across from where traxx used to be. they had some tt's in there.

stuff is alot cheaper on the internet though.. i got a pcv-275 new off ebay and saved myself $400 (including shipping and taxes)

Metro Sound hands down ...choose Steve's only if you want speakers and amps, NOT for mixers/turntables/headphones, etc. Here's Metro's website www.msmdj.com.

Abbas: Only one place in T.O caries Sennheiser (properly at least) and that's Mendelsohn's "BAY BLOOR RADIO"
but you are going to have to pay through your ass there.

They're bloody expensive because of the area (yorkville)

Sennheiser is overrated IMHO

What kind of Sennheiser's do these stores carry? I mean are the HD-280 Pro's available? I'd really like to get my hands on a pair of those without paying through the nose for shipping costs for importing them from Europe. But then again, both Bay Bloor Radio and Long & McQuade ARE pretty damn expensive.

Any thoughts?

how do you intend to use your 280's? for djing or just studio monitoring? i've got a pair and i wouldn't recommend them for djing...
