i hear their are pretty decent. ive been meaning to check it out but never found the time.
maybe this time i will since they recently started having these close to my house.

I've checked out a couple of these, and their are definitely deals to be had....

However, from my experiences, sizing is extremely limited, especially in the smaller sizes, so you need to go early to have the best selection.

I've worked a lot of retail and it depends.. sometimes they get samples, small defects and/or fakes.. so just be a little careful.

If you want cheaper jeans.. you'll be better off going to a specific brand's warehouse sale or outlet i guess

I wouldn't even trust there anymore. There are very very good fakes out there now, and it takes a knowledgeable person to know what to look for. I wouldn't bet on those sample sales, as stated before there are many fakes lurking around and hidden within the racks. I've gone to others at Budo back in the day as well as other clubs. I think Century had one as well.

Energie has them sometimes at their head office on Richmond but you have to pay cash only.... which im sure they are totally pocketing.

And its a called a sample sale for a reason. They are sample sizes! 32-34, Mediums to larges! Its from the runway shows or any events done by the companies.

i dont have a problem with them being samples from runways ect... only thing im worried about is fake. i guess ill have to studdy this guide a bit.
http://reviews.ebay.com/Authenticat...385&AID=5463217

anybody have any tips as to what to look out for?

People will realize they are fake when you receive them. That guide is meh anyway. As I've said before there are very good fakes out there, and some are almost indistinguishable. That's how good they gotten over the past few years.

Why do all the research and planning when you can just go to an authorized store and get them. Go look on the websites of american companies: saks, neiman marcuc, barneys, or even boutique shops that sell + ship them.

Sure we're all looking for a deal, but if you really want to be down with the brand, go and get it without all the attemps to cut corners financially.

I've been to 2 and came out with nothing. I don't like wasting time sorting through piles of clothing especially since they rarely have the smaller sizes or colours I want. Even if they are brand names for women (like Seven, Citizens, Dish, etc). they are usually straight leg fit or some unflattering cutting. I prefer to just go to the States and get my jeans where they are 20-30% off Canadian prices anyway.

I've been to one of those off Queen/Spadina
after 20 min line-up, got in - the selection of stuff was pretty mediocre.. unless all the good stuff flies too quickly? but seemed like it was just an assortment of clothes that didn't sell 2 seasons ago

Or didn't hit the production line. Sample sales are good for accessories/bags/shoe etc. not always clothes/pants/jeans/jackets etc.
