Library drunkeness
Turns out you're much more productive after a bottle of wine. Papers basically write themselves!
highly recommended.
/all-nighter
Meh, I'm pulling an all-nighter and I don't even have coffee here

It's only me and a couple of Chinese nerds btw. Chinese ftw.
Who here studies in their dreams? Solving imaginary equations?
i crash after coffee, too, hardcore. sugar does the trick, though... bags and bags of dark M&Ms.
and yes... i study in my sleep. i work in my sleep, too. it's the biggest effin' cheat, man... i just have to wake up and do it some more.

I never touch the vending machine stuff. Its crap. it tastes awful and to try and mask that taste its usually over sweetened even if you dont want any sugar in it. Instant...is acceptable, as you can find some that have an acceptable taste and a reasonable kick to them.
The real thing though...old fashion brew, black as the darkest night, stronger than any other force in the universe, thats what i like. And thats what will keep you up at night if you have to pull an all nighter. Though for newbies i would advise adding in some milk, because if that reaches an unprepared stomach it will burn a hole right trough, not to be messed with.

This is it: my productivity plummeted to zero, and I can't think any longer. I tried to keep awake producing drum'n'bass as I wrote my paper, but I just ran out of ideas, both for the paper and the tune.
I failed to finish the paper, but the tune sounds totally sick! It's got a beat that goes boom-cha boom-cha and the bass line is squeaking with a bunch of LFO's LFO'ing and my favourite porn star saying the name of my favourite writer. Dosto-motherfucking-yevsky is gonna eat your dog for breakfast and burn your house down!!!
SAYWHAT!!!
My trick is that I don't drink more than one cup of coffee. I use it as a tool. I don't really drink pop/soda much anymore, so my caffeine intake is practically zero. If I need to stay awake, I'll drink a single cup. No jitters, wakes me up, no real crash. Does the trick.
I've forced myself to never drink more than a cup in a day. I've never been much of a coffee drinker until the past few months. Now I like having a late afternoon/early evening cup to relax with, unless I'm really struggling at work. (The post-lunch 2pm crash, lol.) Then, I'll have it then.
I did this on Tuesday night
not a total all-nighter... but a late night of stress nonetheless
fell into bed around 5:30am and slept til 2:00pm
it was an epic peaceful sleep
During my undergrad, I remember coming home from night class, taking a nap til 11:00pm, then working til 6:00am, sleeping for one hour, then getting up and going to class til 4:30pm, then taking the bus across town to teach an ESL class til 9:00pm. I didn't make it home til midnight that night and woke up the next morning with my mittens still on and I had no idea where I was.
finals suck
feeling like absolute shit. ate at least ten caffeine pills last night, had 15 beers, 2 cups of coffee and several energy drinks. if i knew how to die, i'd try it.
