-- TA Album - Compilation or mix?
TA Album - Compilation or mix?
Simple question!
Just to get an idea of which direction the majority want to take it.
It's probably a good idea to keep this thread just for this topic and the other one as the ideas and discussion thread.
If possible of course.
Compilation, this way the dj's that like the tracks can easily mix the in their own sets, wich means more exposure for the artists.
If both options are available I think we should just do both.. honestly it's no extra work if whoever wanted to mix it would still be willing to if there's also a compilation.
Both would be a good idea.
no
a combo of both will work best but as it's a poll then a dj mix will be better
So who's actually organizing this?
Keep your minds open guys, this should be base on the market respond, if we are successful with a compilation and is the need for mix, than we will do the mix. I would keep all those options open.
Let's take one step at a time and start with compilation - this is my opinion only.
Cheers.

As far as who will do the final production, I know that few of us show some interest, but I think we should select somebody with good technical background and experience. Who might that be, we will see in a few days. |

i think mr mystery himself will be the perfit person to fill that roll

| Originally posted by Mr.Mystery I would, but I don't have the time - hell, I'll be lucky enough to even finish a track in time. I don't really have any recommendations either, I was just asking. |
we need to set up some ground rules before people start posting tracks (well this has already happened but we need rules lol). Rules that were akin to the Tranceaddict's unite series (ie: you can submit as many tracks as you like, but only one track at a time). I would recommend Mr.Mystery for a judge but he's already said he's too busy, I'd put myself up there but I'd rather DJ mix it (if that's what ends up happening).
These are just a few of the things we need to think about.
Yup, so far we only run some small preview of the tracks that people would like to include in TA compilation, but I definitely see some basic rules setup for later submission.
Cheers
could pretty easily do bothi would have thought..
mixed and unmixed versions...
would prefer unmixed if i had to choose tho
So looks like compilation is ahead.
Any more inputs guys??
I feel like all this will do is embarrass other producers on TA. It seems like there is no organization which ultimately will be your downfall if it even reaches a point of fruition.

Word is that merging this with the original thread might kill the poll itself, so I'm going to leave it so people can view the results. But enough discussion in here, you guys can duke it out in the now-stickied original; the results are pretty one-sided anyway so I don't think we need to keep collecting votes.
