Question electro-house type sh*t

recommendations? im really digging this lately but i have zero knowledge.

im looking for shit that is really funky and really dirty... nothing with even the slightest bit of a minimal touch.

been digging dada life lately but sometimes the shit they do goes too gay for me.

this is a good example...

i want more of those kinds of beats.

any help is greatly appreciated... recommend tracks, artists, albums, live sets, compilations, whatever.

check out Andy Caldwell's new album titled: Obsession

he steered away from the deep house sound to a more electro sound

Most minimal and deep house is awful. It's too tight of a niche for a club to be playing that shit, and most people don't get it and can't dance to it. This is hopefully going to be getting more popular.

Thank god for that....

I would love to hear more electro house in clubs.

skimmed through the album. its a pretty chill album and its actually got some good production quality on it but im looking for something more upbeat. 'its guud' had a pretty fat beat but the vocals made me feel like i was listening to 50 cents posse going "yea" and just repeating whatever he says. lol.

There is still great electro house being produced... and it still fucking TEARS THE DANCEFLOOR TO SHREDS.... Electro Pop, and Electro Rock are dead... not electro house. Its sub genres are dead because they suck.

Glad I could help. Wolfgang has a new track on his myspace that sounds dirty and funkier, like hook shot that is set to release this month. Its called "Untitled" atm.

Also, check out his remix "Alaric - Cruelty (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)" cant find it on youtube but its very very dirty, not sure about the funky. It reminds me of the DJ Dan Flick a Switch Remix, but darker.

I don't hear the sound you are looking for very often, but I am a huge fan of it myself. Check out wolfgangs tracks on last.fm, he has a wide range of sound.

Minimal techno? Niche? Maybe many years ago, but not now. Have you heard what a lot of the top jocks are playing? Techno is everywhere.

Minimal is still being canned quite a bit yes, but it's boring as hell, and the deep house shit which is even worse (imo) in a club scene is just awful. I can take it listening at home or at work but when I go out, bring on the electro and dirty beats

yea i've been a little hooked too.. but i still <3 trance
lately i've been listening to more "electro-pop"-style stuff.
