helicopter headphones vs normal ones

Yeah i've seen those huge helicopter headphones in the movies must be good since they looked closed back. I mean can you use them for mixing?

you wouldn't typically use closed ended headphones to mix and pilot headphones won't have very good response considering the signal is always voice and filtered like telephone signals.
