Exclamation Access Virus WhiteOut Special Edition

I'm not going to replace my Polar, but this is pretty freakin cool IMO. It's a limited production run of only 100 units with a laser-engraved serial number plate. NovaMusik has some in stock for $2300 USD.

Are people really stupid enough to pay that much for a Virus just because it's white and "limited edition"?

So after saying that, I went to check what the normal Virus is selling for.

$2,300

If you look around, you can find brand new TI2 desktops for a little less (around $2200) and I saw that a few places had the WhiteOut at $2400, but the typical street price for each is about the same ($2300).

But, the real point is: white sounds more analogue.

The colour walnut with orange highlights is the most analogue sounding tbh. Even better when there's a layer of immovable, decade old dust on it.

I think that looks like a standard design, nothing special just the desktop with the colors of the polar.

What does Sean Tyas think of this new colour

He probably thinks the white makes it look too much like a Mac.

Silly! White + Lazers? = Instant Armin, Tiesto, PvD, and DeadMau5 all rolled into 1. You become DA #1 DJ. That's why they only made 100 - so you can have no more that 100 #1 Djs at any given moment.

Never seizes to make me LOL:

it bothers me, why cant everything electrical just be black. stereos, speakers, tvs, synths, laptops, everything. and everyone has the same powersupply (110V-230V Universal), hopefully internal and with a Real powerbutton. I hate external supplys in hundreds of versions. had to get it out, as its been frustreting me abit lately. Engineering and product-design is just so fucking full of flaws everywhere. I dont know one single product in this world that are perfect.

what's your idea of perfection?

Posted by Zak McKracken on Dec-12-2009 17:42:

universal internal powersupplys with powerbuttons before voltage-convertion so it doesnt burn down my house from overheating. that is perfection. standards and security. i think allen&heath has it. also Echo Audiofire 12 has it. And my monitors too, and their black
