Irish Americans

Irish Americans are just the worst people in the world. They call themselves Irish but 99% of them couldn't find Ireland on a map and their 'heritage' is just an excuse for alcoholism.

Hardly any real Irish people support Republican terrorism but most Irish Americans do. This is all the more funny considering the Protestants they wish to see driven out of Ireland have been there for a whole lot longer than these Catholic Irish have been here.

Most of those morons drunk on St Patrick's day talking about being Irish have a lot more English or German blood in them than Irish.

Would American (either natives or decedents of the earlier European settlers) terrorism against Irish Catholics here be justified in their minds?

I wholeheartedly agree. What's the pride in having IRISH ancestry anyway? Ireland's a miserable shithole with one of the highest migration rates in history. They should just be happy that their ancestors left fucking Ireland.

It seems unlikely that decedents would commit any terrorism, being dead and all. But I suppose one never knows in this crazy world of ours.

Ireland is a lovely place. The cliche of walking into a pub and feeling like you've made a new best friend an hour later is true. No one can converse like dem oirish.

My mother is of Irish decent, and a second generation Canadian . We didn't really do anything that "Irish" in our immediate household, but my grand parents were proud of their heritage, and thankfully even prouder to be in a country that gave them better opportunities to succeed.

My great grandparents insisted on me learning the Lords prayer in Gaelic though. It wasn't until the more recent death of my grandmother that I have developed more of an interest in those family roots, due to relatives that made the trip across the pond for the wake. They were some of the nicest people that I have ever met (even if i could sometimes barely understand them), and because of them I will probably end up visiting the country sometime next year.

The Italian family that I visited in Italy were very awesome, so hopefully I will enjoy an Ireland trip as much as that one.

I hate Italians that live here in general, and i think that anyone that expresses their nationality as anywhere other than where they were born or live is a waste of space.

I tend to refrain from making harsh generalisations, but I can't think of a reason why I shouldn't say "ditto" right now.

And I'd have seconded it right away had you mentioned those bastards that judge others according to their ancestors, as if being born and growing up in a country didn't give you the right to call that territory your own. My fiancée had a bloody bomb thrown at her in São Paulo during a match between Brazil and Japan, even though she was just a few kilometres away from her birthplace.

God, how I wanted to throat-punch that brainless nationalist cunt that threw the bomb... all because of a stupid football game! :reallymad:
