Movies and Heightned Sense of Hearing

I've noticed that immediately after watching a movie, I tend to pay attention to all kinds of small sounds that occur around me. Natural, simple sounds that I would normally not be aware of, but which get amplified in movies. Sounds of my own bare footsteps, keys in the pocket, ticking of the wall clock , breeze flapping against the shirt, distant traffic, water being poured into a glass etc. I like to pay attention to them, just as I hear them in movies. But I usually lose this attentiveness after an hour or two.

Does this happen to anyone else ?

I haven't noticed it myself, but do you have a very good sound system and watch suspenseful movies?
