Online games

So don't lie... I know you nerds are playing WOW and Warhammer!

What games do you play?

I've just started playing League of Legends. Fun, free and not that time consuming. Win!

Anyone else playing it?

Takes up too much time and 99% of them involve too much grinding.

I played Eve Online quite a lot for a couple of years but I simply can't devote that much time to a game any more, plus it takes too long to get a decent fight these days. I still miss it though.

used to play Ragnarok Online a lot on a nice private server.

That. While im an avid gaming fan, and even though RPGs are my favourite games, i stay as far away from online games as i can. A long time ago one of these games (a racing sim not an rpg) influenced me quite badly to the point, that i would think about my overtaking strategies and how to best setup the gear ratios when i should have been listening to professors during classes. At the end of a class i would usually have a new setup for the car in my notebook instead of some fascination new mathematical concept that i was supposed to be learning about.

Went off a bit there, anyway offline games Yay! online games NO!

Well... I guess I am either not hot, or not a girl. I am sure there are a fair share of TA's that will agree with either of those sentiments.

That's the thing I like about this game... you don't have to grind, you just play about a 1 hour game against other people and then it's over. It's all about skill and it's fun.

It reminds me a lot of Age of Empires.

i used to play halo 2 on the xbox a ton when i lived with two other roommates who also owned xboxes and an xbox live account. we even (embarassingly enough) waited outside a mall to get the game when it first came out at like midnight, lol. so many dorks there. eugh.

i haven't played any online games for years now though. first of all because a) the few new games i own are pirated and i can't play them online and b) i don't really get down with new games, too much shit going on- i like my 2d rpgs and the occasional fps and that's it. and tetris.

Starcraft basically sums up my childhood gaming. Was into CS/WOW during the end of my high school years, sold my wow character for a nice amount of money. Got back into it again solely to make money, only lasted half a year or so.

No idea how but I'm back into Starcraft. That game truly is a classic.

I always told myself I wouldn't be one of those 23 year old losers still playing video games, but alas, here I am. Not that I'm addicted or anything, but still.

My excuse is I was raised in a gaming generation

I don't play online games as much as I used to. A few years ago I played a lot of Unreal Tournament, Halo, NWN, Runescape (lol), and others. I used to play a lot of Halo 3 but I don't have an Xbox 360 anymore

Fuck, I was about to say that I just started that last week...

Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 2...no grinding, just blood and Pwnage.

Me too... I felt like buying a Nintendo Wii for Christmas, but I don't have the time, nor the needed TV set

Eve Online just sent me a free 5 day re-sub for Christmas with a free ship too, plus a special $10 rate for the first month. I'm on holidays from Wed next week

I have never played WOW I'm so glad i can say that!

The only computer game I play is Day of Defeat.

I enjoy console games. Socom and Warhawk mostly. Gonna be getting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 here pretty soon.
