Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. A TRUE movie review

This is definitely the best movie review I've ever seen. The only thing is, each of the 7 parts is 10 minutes long, which is definitely not c0r-friendly. HOWEVER, I started watching it and if you've ever trusted me on something, let it be this: it's worthy of your time. Here are the first 2 parts... watch the remaining 5 on your own if you choose. The first 3 minutes of part 2 are fucking hilarious.

I've seen these for the four Star Trek: TNG movies. Pretty hilarious. Nice to see the old man going after Star Wars now.

didn't know there was some for Star Trek... I'll have to check those out.

Got a lot better around 3 or 4.

Wish his voice wasn't so annoying.

Pretty amusing.

It had some funny points, I admit that.
But the way it was presented was so dry and boring.
"What's wrong with your faaaace"-bit was just meh.

The bit at the end of part 2 with the pizza rolls got me.

this review was pretentious shit all around... i love the prequels because they make me feel like i am actually in the star wars universe when im watching them, i feel like a jedi, i feel like an alien. stop ruining my childhood you nasally wannabe

Haha that was a pretty good review. I agree that the prequels gave you more of a sense of escapism, and being part of this huge other world (which has its place), but at the expense of character and plot.

And quality.

The prequels suck, anyone who thinks otherwise should stick to reading Twilight.

He's just another angry old foggy that can't stand to see something he loved when he was young change. My idea of a good movie is one in which i feel a part of the scene and where i can imagine myself as a character in that same universe. He seems to think that the new sense of escapism and added imagination that the new movies have added was a perversion unto the series, I completely disagree. When you play World of Warcraft or any other MMO you don't fully know the story you just know that you are a part of the universe and are enjoying yourself because you are in a reality that you rationalize as being superior to your own. The movies may not have been memorable character wise but they sure did a lot of positive things like inspire a whole new generation of readers and finally create something star wars was lacking majorly, a sense of one being completely ensconced and wrapped in world that there is more detail than anybody can fully describe (hence all of the novels that come out monthly that only deepen the story and expand the universe... all the while explain a lot IE origins of the Sith). Get a life, I never said the originals were bad or worse than the new movies, they just all have their places in the spectrum and evolution of the series.

PS "how the fuck do you" manage to spell judgment wrong?

So basically you're a typical geek who thinks fiction is all about getting lost in a fantasy world and has no understanding of good storytelling. Although your response doesn't answer any of my three questions.

Also, he isn't an angry old "foggy", or even fogey, he's quite obviously playing that character for comic effect.
