Hey man, so I listened to this yesterday morning on the way to work and I enjoyed it overall. I think I liked your last mix a wee-bit better, but that may be because of that Empire of the Sun track, which was just so huge for me.

Anyway, I enjoyed most of your selections this time around, with the exception of 2 or 3 vocal tracks that I didn't entirely dig (not all of them though, as I really liked a couple as well). The synths in some of the tracks are just heavenly, too. Mixing was tight so no complaints there.

On a related note, I find that I generally prefer to listen to this kind of music (this being disco-influenced house) in the morning. I don't know why, but just like a cup of coffee, I find it best at that time of the day. It's weird, but I was also listening to a Delusions of Grandeur podcast a few days ago, in the morning, and it just seemed to work so well for me.

Great job with this one, Sam! I was listening to it all day yesterday, and am giving it another go this morning. Really nice selection of super-funky music, it had a great 'party' vibe.

I liked the mixing, you were pretty quick with it instead of drawing out the mixes, the energy really kept up the whole way through, and everything was seemingly in-key. No clashing at all whatsoever.

Favorite songs in the mix have to be the Cut Copy remix of Maroon 5, Cross The Dancefloor, Taurus, and most especially... that BURNS track. OMG I listened to it about 20 times last night.

I really liked this mix sam, been listening to it since yesterday and cant believe you didn't tell me about it you big bitch!

It makes an hour go really fast , mixing had no problem at all for me, i specially liked how you mixed out of Paul Allen - Rough Tone (Komytea Remix) into Nighty Max - Beach Hut /// Choonage!

03 Mario Basanov - Do You Remember (Arithmatix Mix)

05 Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor (Chromeo Remix)

10 Paul Allen - Rough Tone (Komytea Remix)

11 Nighty Max - Beach Hut

12 Artego - Lunatic

Highlights for me were these ^

Great mix overall kado!, now i sit and wait for next one

PS: Let me see you move it shake it cross the dancefloor

I'll be honest...I really didn't think I was going to like this at all, most because I can't stand electro/blog house. But I've been on a bit on a nu-disco kick lately so I gave this a shot, and this was seriously ace. Love the way you combined nu-disco with prog house, which made for a verrry grooving set. Mixing was good and you kept the energy up. Would love to hear more stuff like this.

also, lol @ Treasure Fingers...that guy used to play all of the terrible indie/hipster electro parties around here.

Posted by wotyzoid on Jan-29-2010 21:49:

I'll check.

Posted by kadomony on Jan-30-2010 18:49:

Cheers, lads

@ Seppuku, I know what you mean. Sometimes a set that's completely electro-like can be a bit intense. Also, Treasure Fingers is on tour now Wanted to go see him in NYC but couldn't make it.
