Holy crap.

Met shooter chicks from nights gone by, friend's wallet got stolen/dropped out of his pocket (canceled cards on drunk cell calls to the card company), got too drunk - and with the help of The Ear and his fianc made it back to reasonable in good time.

And great bloody tunes.

Great night. Just a great night.

I just died when I heard these tunes! <3 I can honestly say that this Gift was way better than the Gift 2006 in terms of tunage.

This night was a nice reunion (hadn't seen many people in a long time) and made the party that much better for me!

Hahaha!

The wallet was found & turned in at security! All cards, ID, etc was recovered by the concerned individual. All that was gone was the cash. Kind of indicative of the overall vibe in the place that I saw anyway.

Stellar night of classic tunes. Especially hearing Born Slippy, Binary Finary - 1998, & System F - Out of the Blue go off back-to-back-to-back. Just awesome lol. Getting a chance to revel in the memories & moments brought back by that trifecta whilst surrounded by excellent party goers, well... simply put, that was the highlight of the night.

Great times with great people. Truly a gift!

Rui de Silva - Touch Me
DK - Murder was the Bass
Kompressor - Black Onyx
Kings of Tomorrow - fuck i forgot the name of the tune
Louis Vega - French Kiss
Randy Katana - In Silence (Txitxarro remix)
Aurora - Ordinary World (Above and Beyond remix)
Super8 & Tab - Helsinki Scorchin
Sander Kleinenberg - This is Not Miami (Ibiza version)

I'm in a zombie mode right now so I can't remember some of the tunes I heard.

Anyways. Truly epic night. Got inside at 1am, and it only took few mins of Mark O hammering out some party house tunage to take away my bad mood. (Almost didn't make it to Toronto, and froze my ass off)

2am arrives and Mark O started to throw some trance classics. Hearing Atlantis mix of Seven Cities started the party into high gear. I think that tune brought a smile to everyone's face. Such a happy tune.

Absolute stellar performance by Mark O. He correctly managed the energy and vibe, so that people were into the tunes, but didn't tire them out too early. Right balance of flow and programming. He also used lesser known remixes of classic tracks which was pretty interesting, and I thought worked. And not too many crappy vocal trance tunes like Satellite or ATRC. Although he did play Helsinki Scorchin but I'll forgive Mark O for a little bit of cheese. Though I admit it, I did a sing-along to Ordinary World. lol. Seriously. It was amazing to see Mark O at top of his game.

He slowed it down big time for about 30 mins or so around 5, and people started to leave. After a lot of people cleared out, Mark O turns it up again and start hammering out more tunage. Heard a lot of old style hard trance which was pretty damn good. Dont get to hear that stuff at clubs anymore.
Left just before 7 when Mark O finished. Everything I wanted in a proper trance set. So much fun!

great vibes all around. both rooms were a lot of fun!

Posted by pmoisse on Dec-20-2009 15:38:

Damn, sounds like it was a great night. I remember a Guvvy night with just MO from a few years ago where it was much of the same feeling.

Seeing some of the tracks that were played makes me want to hit a big trance party again. I love Out of the Blue. One of my fav all time tracks

Maybe Trance Energy next year....

Damnit, he played Sweet Dreams when I was on Santa's Lap. Talk about bad timing. That tune needs to be moved to.
