Opera moving? closing?

Its just a matter of weeks now it seems... anyone heard something about opera sharing its clientele with 1234 for the time being?

i heard its gonzo

Here is the story :

Opera's building is Hyrdo-Quebec's property and they want to get it back to put offices.
The owners of 1234 are getting too old for this business so they are closing the place down .. Opera is going to take over the place and 1234 will close. Btw, during Opera's events the waiters and waitresses are 1234 staff.

So 1234 is closing and Opera's is essentially only moving to 1234 spot?? Honestly I don't think its a bad change 1234 is a good location and the club itself is decent. I'm sure Opera will redo the renovations that MC Mario put into to 1234 not to long ago and make it more Opera like. But its a good size there is sort of two levels, (the main room and the red room) and the main room is quote large. Can easily make a second level balcony area. Not as huge as what Opera has currently but probably something still semi decent. Personally though I haven't been to 1234 in about 3 years now, mainly cause most of my group of friends are huge Opera whore's (not you Spin I know you don't mind change of venue sometimes)

opera is one of the best looking club in montreal.
1234 is crap,one of the worst.
they better renovate the whole thing,and hopefully the 16 yrs old crowd doesn't go there anymore either.

There for sure going to be some changes coming in the new year, not sure how some people will react to them :/

As for Tribe all I can say is I have a feeling a lot of people that live in the area going to give them a lot of problems now due to what happened. Plus I have a feeling with what happened at Tribe, it is going to have some serious consciousness for Cherry reopening.

Seeing Cherry been trying to reopen. They are planning to try in the New Year if there isn't any opposition. Which there is still opposition. With the stabbing at Tribe, the people are keeping Cherry from reopening, can only think that problem can land up at Cherry.

LMAO, there is how many sex shops in Montreal and the surrounding Montreal area? I'm sure you can find a suitable replacement maybe even something better. I have heard there is some good stores in Laval though.......

There are many good sex shops in town for sure, but this one is the biggest one in the world (serious too, it is), and the selection of 18inch double dongs is better here than elsewhere, all at a price that leaves the sphincter loose!

so its now official. the last night at opera is on january 10th. i think the owners got lucky in a way. they probably got a money settlement from the new investors to buy back the place plus people will remember opera at its "best". and they get to avoid the shameful end that so many clubs in montreal go through (aka suspicious fires, mismanagement, fraudulous owners, etc....)

and like fullhouse predicts, i also think tribe is next to close down. owner in jail, no big name DJ has played at tribe since, the hype has long passed.
