Download Link: http://sushipunk.net/Mixes/Rob%20Tu...y%20Vol%202.mp3

01. Spooky - Little Bullet Pt. 1 [Guerilla, 1993]
02. Gus Gus - Believe (Omid 16b Mix) [4AD, 1997]
03. UNKLE Petter - These Days / What Are You To Me? (Sasha Involver Mashup) [Global Underground, 2004]
04. Michael Burns - Forwards [Little Mountain, 2004]
05. Swayzak - State of Grace (Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally Mix) [Columbia, 2000]
06. Petter - Tone Diary [Border Community, 2004]
07. Nathan Fake - Outhouse [Border Community, 2003]
08. Gus Gus - Purple (Sasha vs. the Light Mix) [4AD, 1998]
09. Nathan Fake - Adamedge [Saw Recordings, 2004]
10. Sasha - Wavy Gravy (U & K Mix) [White, Date Unknown]
11. The Spirals - X (Original Mix) [Darkroom Dubs, 2004]
12. Epsilon 9 - Lifeformation (Infernal Machine Mix) [Forbidden Planet, 2002]
13. Sander Kleinenberg - My Lexicon [Essential Recordings, 2000]
14. Drunken Monkey - Gratification (Instant Gratification Mix) [Sunburn Records, 2003]

If the tracklist doesn't scream it already, this is obviously a nostalgia trip. Not really remotely close to what I play out these days, but more a half-arsed tribute to a bunch of music I still like a great deal.

Probably the most "Trance Addict" appropriate mix I've posted in years, heh.

Happy Holidays,

~R

Can you smell the pixie trance?

Mmmmmm. Smells like Ugnaught jizzums, Unicorn daydreams, and a delicious picnic apple salad to me.

Pretty much tracklist plagiarism from a handful of my favorite comps over the years.

Basically I listened to Balance 005 a few weeks back while driving to Michigan and thought "Hmm, I probably still have a lot of this ready to play", then I got bored one night and played some music for an hour, and here we are.

Downloading because this looks to be a fantastic set to lose some more sleep over. Glad to see you are still around, Mr. RJT.

Probably the first time I know some tracks in a tracklist of yours, so I guess that's a good chance to give the circle jerk another try.

Sweet, this should be fun. Totally in.

Funny you mention Balance 005, had to take a road trip to Columbus and back the other day and that was my album of choice.

Some quick impressions:
1) Nice! Very good intro.
2-3) Yawn! Had to skip through this, does nothing for me.
4) Back on track with this one, nice tune.
5-6) Bored me again. I just didn't catch on to the lounge-y, moody feeling this is probably supposed to convey.
7-9) Now we're talking. Great classics.
10) I prefer the original, strange mix.
11-13) 11 is ok, and the next two are good. 12 is probably my favorite track in this mix.
14) The Kleinenberg track left me hoping for some good finisher, like, I don't know, 'What is Love' or something. But this was a letdown and something pretty uninteresting for me.

Overall I liked quite a few parts of this, but they kept getting interrupted by track I find boring and uninteresting. This kind of made the mix seem unstructured to me. Not really your fault, that just comes from my very subjective perception of the tracks.
Remember that this is not what I usually listen to, so these statments are really just an uninformed opinion.

Checked it. I liked most of the tracks (especially the ones I knew beforehand that I'd like ). Some of them were a bit drab for me, or just weren't my cup of tea. I also thought the flow was questionable in some instances shifting from breaks and four-to-the-floor too much.

A few of those transitions were bang on, and when they were they were realllly solid.

Overall this gets a mixed view from me, but more often than not the tracks themselves made up for any other shortcoming.
