who's a fan? watched 3 seasons in 2 days
, just started the 4th. seems to be keeping me interested more than LOST has, easily my new favorite show. any info whether season 5 will be the final season, or if they're continuing going further and further?
edit: k hope u didnt see this, that was evil
I'm a fan too.
Weird to know that Dexter/Michael C. Hall and Debra/Jennifer Carpenter are married irl.
Good show...up until the 3rd season. Same shit over and over again.

last episode was FUCKED
I totally didn't see that coming and I have no idea where they are going to take the plot from here
I say Deb adopts Harrison at the end and Dexter dies

Definitely
As soon as he picked up his message you knew
John Lithgow as Trinity is possibly the creepiest character I have seen on TV in a long time.
I can't even watch 3rd Rock from the Sun anymore because I keep thinking he's going to make some kid wear pajamas and watch a toy train ride around before hacking someone's brain out with a jig saw
the last episode was indeed great, the fourth season overall was probably my favorite
best show in a while, imo. just waiting for the 4th to come out on bd.
SPOILER ALERT:
The last episode has me confused. I'm sure the name Kyle Bulter will come up when Trinity's family gets interrogated. A sketch of "kyle" will bring up Dexter and also connect him to the realy kyle Butler murder which Dexter was at the crime scene at.
Also if Reda left in the morning for her flight, how come Dexter did not get the message until very late at night?
How does Dexter explain his absence from the hours he missed work to Reda's murder? I'm sure his incarecation will come up at Miami Metro.
Hopefully the next season will answer these questions..
should we really be talking about spoilers in this thread?

Watched through seasons 1 + 2 about 2 years ago and loved them. I was watching season 3 as it was airing but got kinda pissed with a direction they went and dropped it.
Probably going to catch up soon though, lots of friends in on it now.

One of the best show's on television, definitely!
I only wish there was more dark humour. And Debra pisses me off with her whining
best show on tv, season 4 has been the best season so far. the season finale was a really wtf ending, now that i tink about season 5 and dexters life ahead....
It's hardly great... Good is about as far as I would go.

also spoiler alert... i thought it might of ended like this:
I wish he had not killed Trinity. He was such an awesome character that I think they should have done it so that dexter fucked up and let him slip away, and then gone home and found Rita all hacked up. The next season could have been Dexter hunting him down in a blind, mistake causing, rage which then alerts Deb that something is wrong with dexter and discovers his secret, as well as Quinn being all up in his grill.
in a (quite disturbing) way I'm also dissapointed that he didn't kill the kids as well. I'm dreading the next season of "dexter looking after th kids" storylines.
Maybe it's just me REALLY wanting another season with Lithgow in it though...
This last season was the best by far, and the best tv show I have seen in a while. jon lithgahhheneedsanewlastname was fantastic!
I don't think they are in a tight corner at all. There is an obvious parallel to dexter's life, the whole born into blood. So he will wrestle with trying to raise his kid differently. You also notice that his dad is always right in the end...meaning Dex knows what to do, but something convinces him otherwise.
I say next season we go back to basics, first few episodes are dex avoiding the team cause they want to help with the grief...all the while dex kills some more mofos. whatever it is I will be watching.
