Did not see a link for this? Sooo what was everyones Favorite Show,Event, (EDM or NOT) in 2009? In the USA or Abroad of Course..

My favorite was actually AVB in april. It was special for me because it was the last EDM event I went to with my close friends because then we went our ways for college and stuff. Non the less it was a great night that night. Glenn Morrison was on point, and AVB did his thing.

My fav was Chris liebing @ cielo I don't think I ever danced as hard and as long with my girl as we did that night, fucking amazing bass lines from chris all night, he had the people going nuts can't wait to see him again his amazing live

Of course, Electric Zoo was amazing... Seeing Desyn Masiello throw down dnb and Richie Hawtin were the big highlights for me.

But my favorite party for pure insanity was the Dan Deacon/Deerhunter/No Age at Flying W Airport Resort. The party was held at a resort in Medford, NJ that is attached to an airport.

Dan Deacon whipped the 300+ crowd into a frenzy and had us doing crazy stunts like dance offs and was able to get the hipsters to form a giant Conga line snaking around the airplane shaped swimming pool.

This was a ridiculously great time. And will become legend, since after the party the resort decided to close it's doors to music/dance events.

Armin @ Dutch Fest...easily the best day of my entire life.

Besides that: Simon Patterson & Tyas @ Rebel and Cosmic Gate @ Love were both killer.

Debut of Paul Ritch w/ Blk Market in Brooklyn was just pure madness never danced soooo much in my life

Cosmic Gate @ Love was just great to hear these guys in a intimate environment instead of a big room for there album release party

Fedde Le Grand @ Roseland: He just kept playing banger after banger and I just couldnt stop dancing to his set

Justice @ Webster Hall: First time seeing these guys live even though it was a DJ set it was just pure grunchy and dirty electro to the fullest will def see these guys again next time there in town

Christopher Lawrence & Ronski Speed @ Pacha: From start to finish from basement to Pachita the music and vibe in that place was just madness, haven't seen Pacha like that since Doorn and Dahlback in Sept

Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Tom Colontonio, Jason Jollins & more @ Rebel was another one that was off its rocker every room had great music and the vibe again was just something special...

Can't wait for the new year to begin

for me Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso at WMC Beatport Party on the final day (Sunday). Angello had the best line when he got on the mic ' i'm not going anywhere until they put some handcuffs on my hand.'

Electric Zoo was amazing but my best night of the year was Digweed at Pacha in October. Everything seemed to go perfect that night and it totally restored my faith in Diggers.

DJ'ing wise, playing with Dave Seaman and Nick Warren for our AlterImage Recordings release party was very memorable.

Cant wait to see what 2010 brings!

Just like everyone else, I thought Electric Zoo was def a memorable and groundbreaking event for NYC...

-but the Wighnomy Brothers 12 hour set @ the blkmarket party this past fall was truly amazing for me. The beats those guys dropped slayed the dancefloor all day & nite. Too bad they are not playing together anymore

- Although I have to say I did have a great time @ the AM only party @ Karu & Y this year @ WMC.

There were like, no more than 20 people, 30 at the absolute most the whole time. and it was like our own little private showing. It was SO fucking sick. and he spun all the tracks i came to hear. that was great. nothing i like more than a near private event of a sick DJ... except for a massively huge event with tons of my friends. but i havent had that this year, yet.

So many good events this year. This is why I can't help but crack up when I hear people complain about how the scene here is so dead. The amount of quality parties being put together on a regular basis in this city is mind-boggling.

NYE in Playa Del Carmen in a week w/ Matthew Dear, Davide Squillace, Audiofly, etc (well, its gonna be)

Halloween at Roseland

didn't make it to EZ, but hands down AvB @ Governor's Island / Dutch Festival was the stand-out local event for me. Incredible vibe for a day event. Sean & Simon @ Rebel was also one for the books.

LovEvolution day parade & afterparty in San Francisco was an absolutely amazing experience, too, even after Armin two weeks before. But there's nothing like event-going with your best friends in the scene, and mine are all here.
