Problems with recording a mix
Hi, thanks for reading
I recorded a mix from an Ecler NUO5 mixer straight to my laptop (Dell Vostro 1720 running Vista) in Audacity but the sound quality is terrible, there is a constant buzzing like interference throughout the whole mix. I had the gains of the channels turned right down to try and eliminate this and also the recording volume on Audacity. Is there any way I can record a cleaner, higher quality mix? Would a USB soundcard from a PC World - like retailer improve, or does the problem lie with the mixer?
Thanks in advance
An external soundcard will help alot in sound quality. Just using a 3.5mm jack as an input and expecting any sort of quality.... its just not gonna happen.
