Local Orlando House or Trance Scene?

I'm visiting Orlando this week and looking for a great party with great music. House preferred, but Trance is still good.

Any recommendations please? Any day of the week is fine!

Somebody please help!!!

Can someone comment on the following Orlando nightclubs and inform me whether my information is correct? I'm not looking for an upscale club or a dress-to-impress environment. Looking for sick beats!

Looking to party tomorrow night (wednesday) or Friday evening.

Club listings for Orlando

Suite B Lounge Wednesday nights - Underground Express for Tech House. This seems to be the best option so far, any comments?

Pulse - Gay and Lesbian bar but supposedly the only "real" EDM club?

Firestone - Giant room but different performances pending on the evening ?

House of Blues and The Groove - This seems to be more of a tourist area for Euro/Dance/Club music

Tabu - Upsale, so no thanks.

Orlando has nothing big happening this week.. but there are some good places to catch local talent that is not upscale..

Suite B - Small Room on the corner of Magnolia and Central - Plays almost all house music, usually a few people if not a good crowd..

Crooked Bayou - Next to Suite B, small place with good food and drink and usually plays funk, deep, house, and other types of groovy tunes.

Honestly just wander around Orange Ave until you here music you like.. There is alot of places downtown...

You won't find anything at Tabu or Firestone, and Pulse or any other gay club is totally up to you... Not my style though...

Nothing I know of that stands out, but in situations like that my girlfriend and homies always go to SKY60 on Orange avenue. It can be a hit or miss, but about 75% of the time its good beats. The other 25% its that LA/West Coast style top 20 / rock mixed in with house and it sounds like total shit. Of course the retards who are just there for the party eat it up, but if you're any degree of a music aficionado you'll cringe in disgust.

That only applies to Saturdays though. I typically don't bother going out Fridays.

reread your post, you won't find trance anywhere, so forget that.

Too bad there isn't much of a scene in Orlando. I was really hoping, but I missed Suite B last night.

what are you talking about?? there are at least 4-5 clubs A NIGHT that play EDM.. no scene??

Vintage is not a dive bar - its a rather nice place. There is also IMansion, Stardust, 56west (or some number), rock bar, central station, and just about every hole in the wall in orlando plays some sort of edm...

i think adrianlee893 has a very valid point and i dont think she meant to offend anyone from Orlando when she stated, "theres not MUCH of a scene" rather than "there is No scene in Orlando." Take a minute and compare Orlando to where she is from and you will realize she is correct. Toronto is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best spot in North America for EDM. One only needs to look at the list of next months upcoming edm events in Toronto, then compare them with Orlando's. Sadly, Orlando fails miserably in comparison to Toronto for EDM events. I see Orlando having only 1 event worth listing in the next month, (its probably one of your events Jeff, and if it isnt, massive props to you anyway for bringing something big regularly to Orlando, Tiesto, etc,) while Toronto has as many big events, if not more than Miami, Tampa, and Orlando combined. This makes her statement "theres not much of a scene in Orlando" totally credible, considering where she is from and what she is used to experiencing as far as the quality and quantity of edm events.

Orlando has a pretty good scene actually, especially compared to other cities in FL.

Check out those places like Suite B, Crooked Bayou and Sky 60. Oh and tabu is definitely not upscale, lol.

I guess what I meant is there is a huge following of electronic dance music. Perhaps we only get big shows now and then.. and thank you for your compliment we try hard . but there is always smaller talent coming thru - a majority of which doesn't appear online at all. It's very much becoming a more underground scene (once again). At any given night you can find a dozen clubs in the area playing good electronic (debatable of course on your tastes).
