Eelke Kleijn

Is it just me or is this guy like f__king amazing? Everything I hear from him is like WOW! He seems to just be on a totally different level. Tons of natural talent in both his production as well as his sets!

Someone's gotta bring this guy to Toronto!

Anyone else here share the same thoughts?

BTW how the hell do you pronounce his name?

ill ke klein (as in calvin klein)

this dude is one of my fav producers. not only under Eelke Kleijn alias, but also Fine Taste and Chunk & Twist.

he makes prog fun. i like how he doesn't necessarily play the bangers, but plays thoughtful, well constructed prog sets. in a way, he's like the ultimate warm up DJ, which is similar style to what i aspire to perfect

Luigi's Mushroom ftw

Yeah thats exactly it! I feel like he has a higher 'music IQ', or whatever you want to call it (or just a better 'ear' for the music) than anyone I've ever heard before.

Eelke Kleijn + Joris Voorn = yes

Thumbs up

Would love to see the Fine Taste / Wippenberg / Gareth Emery lineup that happens regularly in the UK.

one of those DJs who believes on taking the crowd through a journey during his sets

his sets today are very reminiscent to that old school Sander K prog sets

one of my fav productions he did: M.I.D.O.R. vs Linn - Breathing (prgz Mix)

some other favs:
Soda Please - Luxury (Eelke Kleijn Mix)
Eelke Kleijn - Monsters of the Deep
C-Jay And Eelke Kleijn - Hinterglem (Deep Mix)
Serge Devant - Always Have Tomorrow (Eelke Kleijn Remix)

....he is one DJ who def deserves to do a GU: NuBreed compilation

Yeah I think his creativity is what I appreciate the most about him. Especially now with all the Tech-House which has been dominating the scene in Toronto at least for quite some time now. I used to love tech-house but it seems to all sound the same and it gets really boring and monotonous after a while. Every time I listen to an Eelke Kleijn set its such a refreshing change.

well, i love the deep prog eelke kleijn, but the uplifting prog/trance eelke kleijn is pretty fun too. speaks of his versatility as a dj and a producer though. this guy covers pretty much all spectrum of prog

Posted by SPANIARD on Dec-28-2009 00:41:

No matter if it was uplifting trance or lounge-style tech house, I always loved Eelke Kleijn. I couldn't resist posting this as to this day it's one of my fav trance melodies ever (Eelke is(was?) Six4Eight if anyone is wondering)
