WOW's "Pulse of Life" + other exclusives
This is another beauty never released in its entirety properly but it damn well should be. I know I'm the resident fanwhore but this is the penultimate proghouse tune; groovy yet uplifting, bouncy yet driving; all around flawless delivery:
Their attraction with the analog synths from the 80s doesn't quite hit with the same level of purity/excellence but I am not one to fault them for experimenting.
On the rare tip, here are a few from the Don't Look Now era you have likely not heard and which have recently been unearthed (select at least 480p for decent sound quality):
Yes! This is absolutely brilliant. I've got the version from some Wipeout soundtrack. 4:02 long. Way too short, but what can you do (other than try to make a longer re-edit of it). ![]()
edit:
How on earth did you get your hands on the full version?
That laughter in the very beginning, sounds like it came from the macarena?
^Quite possibly...I know I've heard it used before.

This actually appeared on a Don't Look Now demo that was leaked many moons ago.

Well any of these tracks ever be released? I really liked Pulse of Life off Don't Look Now.
That would be nice (I'll see what I can find out officially)...pretty damn good for demos and I remember hearing that second one ("Open Your Mind") out live in 2003; dancefloor destroya. "Pulse of Life" could be tricky with Dickstinctive likely owning the copyright to it. The unreleased demos on the other hand might be fair game.
Both of those tracks were a bit boring. Not bad, but not something I'd buy if they came available. Pulse of Life on the other hand I'd buy without hesitation.
You are just far too hard to please.
"Impact" is especially dynamic and "Open Your Mind" hardly made anyone on the dancefloor sit one out.
I know I'm hard to please and I'm kinda glad it's like that. I like what I like and when I like something I really like it. I don't think I'd sit either one of these out if they were played live somewhere where I'd be dancing, but they're not great, only decent. Still lightyears ahead of the new album IMO, but not quite on par with the stuff on Don't Look Now.
If my memory serves me right, one more WOW tune I'd like to see released is Wonka. I think I really liked that one, but I could be mixing it up with something else (been quite a while since I heard it).
Wonka isn't all that amazing, IMO, but it's got a nice groove. The new album is very well done, I just think the vintage action has taken away some of the edge they possessed on previous albums.
