Noob: Why do djs use 3 TTs sometiems?

Just a question, how come i see tiesto, pvd, and other djs, somtimes having three turntables.. waht do they use the third one for?

as for techno, you add loops in the background to the songs, and you use it to play a 3rd song upon the two others, or play a 2nd song upon the first, using the 3rd deck to prepare the next transition.check out this 3deck transition download sample here

yep i found this out recently too its for techno djs mostly...
i think with our style of music ie paul van dyk and all there really is no need for a third deck and if there was you would have to manipulate it in a way so that it all sounded very subtle... i think that would require alot of skill and should be done more often by the big names! i know paul does but tiesto n shit get cracking!

There's one mre thing I would like to mention: THEY use it to trick the clubbers...first the dj starts transiting to a known song...but then suddenly something else starts at the end of the transition... maybe another very well known tune ??? and everybody goes WOOOW
