All right, share it. I think I know your humour better than your average foreigner, given my appreciation for the Chaser and people like John Safran, but I don't know the story behind this advert.

Without the proper context, it does look as tasteless as saying that you can appease Australians with vegemite. Would you like that?

I don't see it necessarily as racist, but it's probably fair to say the commercial does promote the stereotype. I heard on the radio today that a representative from KFC said the commercial was never meant for the States - that it leaked. Well, then maybe the top dogs at KFC saw how people could easily get offended.
