I'm not a fan of the kick: it doesn't fit with the song and it sounds rather weak.

Also, the tune could use a bit more variation as the main sounds & melodies you've used are repeated too many times.

Ok Nick thanks for listening and your feedback I will take it on board.

Cheers

Some interesting melodic ideas, I prefer the beginning to the end.

I agree about the kick somewhat, though I guess it's preference.

Keep working on it, thicken the pads a bit.

Nice job, though.

I like the atmosphere you have going on there. There are a few tweaks to the mix that could be made but i'll mention a few other things first :-

1 - The hat that comes in at about 0.43 is a bit too much, it takes over the mix. It sounds like a loop so I would either lower its level a bit or maybe program the same pattern with a less in your face sample.

2 - The kick..... is poo

3 - The High Lead sound, maybe add some gated effects to it throughout the track to add some interest and movement to it. Camelspace is excellent for this kind of thing if you have it.

4 - What I feel would completely transform this track is a subtle layered bassline that mirrors the one you have now (16th notes). Choose a pluckier, lower sound but this time sidechain it with the kick and you'll get a proper pump out of the track. I don't mean an obvious Eric Prydz sound, but more subtle.

Overall its got a nice sound, I'd experiment a bit with panning and EQ to seperate the sound out a little bit more but you've already got it sounding nice.

Apart from that kick

lol, Far better criticism than I gave from tehlord. Sorry I can't be of more help. I am awful at judging tracks.

I get the feeling you're part of a select group of posters here that I'd actually trust.
