Computer speakers
I've got about $100 to spend on speakers for my new laptop. It'll probably not leave my bedroom for the most part, and I'd like to have some decent sound in here. I'm checking on Amazon, but would would also like any input anyone has in this price range.
do you have output speaker jacks
or just usb?
1/8" headphone jack & USB
Nothin fancy
Why not headphones? $100 speakers are gonna be pretty awful.
Go Logitech. Their brands of computer speakers usually have nice punch. For $100 you won't get anything with decent clarity, but I'm sure you'd like most of their models.
I've got decent headphones, so I just need speakers. I know that $100 for normal stereo speakers won't go far, but I figured computer speakers might be different.
I picked up the Logitech x530 set for about $100 last year. They were on special though, so I'm not sure what they cost normally. Sounds ok. Nothing amazing, but ok for $100.
Well then, id second the Logitech nominations (tho im unsure of model). For $100 theyre probably your best bet.
I have the logitech z-2300 2.1
they're nice
Logitech and Bose make pretty good and cheap computer speakers. Actually Bose makes expensive 2.1, but you get what you pay for!
Logitech Z2300 are probably going to be the best value for that kind of money. That said, they are pretty shit speakers, so don't expect much.
WHAT? R U SRYS?
If you can stretch your budget another $20, you should be able to find the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system. Pretty much the best bang for the buck set of computer speakers you can come across.

| Originally posted by Underscored You could look for an old pair second hand, then get either http://cgi.ebay.ca/6-3mm-Mono-Jack-...=item3efbbe2bd1 or get an amp that has RCA input (anything from the 90's should) but speaker wiring output... I do agree though logitec has good speakers for the pricing. The X540 is selling for 70$ new. Amazingly the Z2300 is selling for the same price it sold for 6 years ago, and the dollar in Canada is worth more now. I got mine new on sale for less than they sell for now, and it is a stronger dollar. |

I got my Z-5300e (Logitech) for 100$. They're a bit low end heavy, but other than that pretty good speakers.
