The cdj-900 vs cdj-1000
I stopped in to play de record on the weekend to check out in person how the cdj-2000/900 looks....I was almost shocked to see that the mk||| is still more expensive then the cdj-900....anybody know the reasoning behind this....
Im assuming because of the building materials used in the 1000 series are far more durable, as well as the buttons and bearings in the jog wheel, to take the beating in a club environment, where as the 800's, and 900's, etc......from what Ive seen personally lack that extra bit of durability and were meant more for home/studio use and marketed towards such as well hence the pricing.

A screen doesnt cost as much as a production line tooled to produce a better product with better materials. Just sayin, its still not a club standard like the 1000 series, and most likely, the price reflects the build quality and durability. I see similar things in the industry I work in.
Or I could just be blowin smoke..... *shrugs* I dunno. It was just a guess.
Well I can see what you mean... Your probably right about the durability standards.....I was looking to buy one moe cdj...but it might just be the 900 now, I always thought the price woould drop for the 1000 now, but I guess the 2000 is the replacement for the 1000.....but who knows when we will see clubs with these in the arsenal
mmmm CDJ-2000's
I will continue to eye these untill further notice.
