What is this movie? I can't find anything explaining what it is.

but what i know is it's a film about the montreal underground scene and i'm in one of the short movies on the website with clifford brown, omni, x-cube and many others + when you check all short films he really does sample people from every underground party there is. from fetish to piknic, saphir to daft punk bell center.


i honestly don't have a clue on what to expect

i'm not promoting this btw, just sharing the curiosity it brings.

he didn't ask permission for anyone that is in the movie if they wanted to be in it. He didn't even ask the artist for the rights for the soundtrack. If I'm in this movie, I sue the guy.

"Le film est suppos� �tre fait et bas� sur la communaut� de ce site web. Criss, j'ai 15 minutes de vid�o tourn�e lors de mon marriage pis tout le monde pr�sent ont eu a signer cette d�claration. �a a l'a que lui en a pas de besoin pour les centaines de personnes film�s.

Ultimement, beaucoup de gens ont commnuniqu�s avec le producteur et il refuse obstin�ment de changer le nom du film, de faire signer quoi que ce soit � qui que ce soit, a apparemment envoy� promener des gens qui ne souhaitaient pas appara�tre dans le film (�a pas fond� mais, bon), d�fend son oeuvre malgr� les emb�ches l�gales et a apparemment engag� une DJ qui n'�tait m�me pas au courant qu'elle avait �t� engag� pour la trame sonore du film.

L�-dessus, rajoute le fait que des gens prennent sa d�fense pour des raisons incompr�hensibles sous pr�texte "qu'on va toute comprendre quand on va voir le film" que �a fait plus qu'un an qui est suppos� �tre sorti et que, personnellement, je ne crois pas qu'il pourra �ventuellement voir le jour.

if you go on rave.ca you will see people fighting with him coz he didnt ask permission to use the footage

and the biggest bullshit is the Festival de Cannes thing

He is simply sending his DVD to the pre-selection committee and he already put their logo and everything on his website and flyer
making people believe it's going to play at Cannes

Any1 can just send their short movie to festival de Cannes it doesn't mean it's going to be selected to be part of the festival

The guy is a loser in my opinion
He even came to ask me 10k sponsorship one day

not to mention that the "soundtrack" for the movie on the website is not at all original works from dj pixie. I seriously doubt they paid the rights for the tracks if they do not even have permission from the people in the movie.

i know...i asked marc romboy if they had the rights to callisto, and he sounded angry as fuck when he told me no.

yeah i can imagine the anger of people who end up in the movie without wanting it and he doesnt want to remove them

even if they do not intend to profit on this movie, intellectual rights still need to be obeyed (aka music) and are not allowed to be used in the way that this film does without expressed the permission from the artist and a licensing agreement.

If a hole in the wall bar needs to pay licensing fees just to play music in it, a "documentary" (term used very loosely) must adhere to these same rules.

If the guy thinks that a reputable film festival will screen movies that practice copyright infringement, he might be crazier than what everyone makes him out to be.

i often read that the rave scene is dead in montreal.

i thought that by posting this i could aware people that it still exists and that it is really young and going well.

They will fill up our parties in a few years.
