Hey

I like the sound in the begining. The buildup sound is a little to quiet IMO and the kick is to "clicky", not sure if I have the best judgment right now though because my ears are a little fatigue. The piano melody creates a good feeling and introduces the Main Lead really smooth. I agree that the melody is nice, the sound is a little thin in occasions though, maybe should try to layer it with somehing. I like the arrangement and the song overall.

thanks for your words fuxzz..

I agree its slightly thin on occasions, could be to do with the filtering in parts were i may have filtered teh sound out a bit too much and lost that "atmosphere" the track needs at those points.

Im yet to add more build sounds to the main buildup, ill be adding some were sweeps etc though, so hopefully that should sort that part out.

Thanks again mate for listening its appreciated!

The track itself is pretty chilling, but I think it lacks anything memorable to be quite honest. Quite a nice melody though.

The piano is pretty nice , but IMO the pluck is just meh.
The pads gives a 'cocktail' feel to the overall track , which brings a summer vibe to me.

Was the piano acoustic , or what did you use?

The way the breakdown progresses is very smooth , without any room of boredom or emptiness.

I don't like the buildup. I thought it was rather weak. Perhaps you might wanna try spamming reverb/high-pass filter on the buildup.

Thanks for your words ice cold water..

I used the synth Nexus to create the piano sound... Im glad you have mentioned the pads, as thats exactly what i was going for, and ive kept them subtle so there not to over the top, but when they shine through there pretty nice and brings a separate feel to the track...

I will be working on the breakdown, as thats something i feel does need some improvement, more reverb and high pass filtering would sort that out your right, will get back to you on the finished piece.

Again, thanks for your feedback, enjoyed reading what your views where

Hi craigb1,

I started to listen your track yesterday and was sidetrack at my work.
I'm on it again so give me a few min and I will get back to you.

Cheers.

First let me just say that I like this track indeed.
I found this to be very interesting with a lot of potential (melodically speaking). You have really good structure establish already with nice break, instruments sound and well constructed transitions. It has a lot of elements I really like exp. 0:41 (nice groove rhythm), 1:24 before firs break, 2:47 (lovely pad sound) and 3:17 (has beautiful sound). Well done so far my friend, it is a really solid start, just to spice up your main melody, try to add some FX (or maybe nice sounding arp) and you have really beautiful sounding song for yourself.

Cheers.

Hello mate

I was hoping you may show up with some feedback! i like to read it as its very constructive, but everyones feedback has been so far so i thank you all for that

Im going to establish a more captivating buildup, probably through some more reverb and high pass filtering that should really show the buildup well.. and some of the filtering on my lead sound, as i think i filter it out a lil too much during the main stages of the track

Thanks again for your good words mate, and ill get the finished piece up, soon as!

Just had a listen through the track and thought I'd share my thougts.

Overall I found it to be a bit uneventful but it sounds very nice and mellow. There is a quiet section that would render this track less useful for a floor (although I don't make floor music myself so this is just my guess =). Despite this I like the quiet bits and build ups as I mostly listen to trance music as I program or develop games etc.

Piano melody really caught my ear and I like it a lot. It's followed by a buildup --> 03.17 that unfortunately ends in something without climax.

Over all - thumbs up from me

Thanks for your views imphenzia...

I need to sort some of the filtering out on the main lead sounds as they do contribute to a quieter patch in the middle of the track. Aslo i will be working on the buildup as you are right there is no real climax, i will do this with some added reverb, and high pass filtering.

Thanks for listening mate, and i will post up my improved version once completed.
