Anjuna Deep

I tried to search for a similar thread, but the search engine is almost as bad as the one on honda-tech.. So here we go.

I've listened to most of the new tracks that will be featured on the newest Anjuna Deep compilation mixed by Jaytech and James Grant. All I have to say is that I am dissapointed to say the least. Most of the songs don't seem to go anywhere, and it seems like recently the Anjuna sound is becoming more minimal.

Any other thoughts about this compilation?

You could have gone as far as page 2 of this section:

Judging by the few tracks I've heard, it's a decent compilation but doesn't have any especially memorable pieces.

it takes about 5-10 seconds with search if you know what you're looking for.

pro tip: nhl thread is severely lacking

Minimal? I don't think so.

You're probably referring to the tracks on Anjunabeats. Anjunadeep is mainly house.

Well most of everyone on that thread you posted are bending over for this album. This is a thread for people who think it is NOT very good. And to me it IS almost minimal. Either that, or the songs featured on here are BORING and go NOWHERE. Take the Hernan track for example.

also, not on the compilation, but the song NU DIP by Hernan is absolutly aweful.. Do not like the direction they are going.

It hasn't been released yet, so most people haven't heard it.

Because the internets is srs buzness and people are fragile.

Anjunadeep "minimal"? Geez, do people just label anything that's not in-your-face 135+ bpm supersaws as "minimal" nowadays?

Posted by Luv4themusic on Jan-18-2010 18:20:

Ok listen to the Nu Dup song by Hernan. Tell me that isn't the biggest hunk of minimal crap. And why have a seperate thread for this? Because this is a message board maybe?

oh and just becuase I think these new songs are minimal peices of junk, doesn't mean I'm into cracker supersaw trance. Don't assume.

So we should have a new thread for each new opinion about a release? You're in the "CD Reviews/New Releases Discussion" part of the forum.. A big part of the discussion-concept is about people having different opinions.. if everyone did like you do here, then all the threads wouldnt be discussions anymore, just statements.. so, since there already is a discussion about this release, then there's no need to have a seperate thread for those who don't like the album.. there's plenty of room for you in the first one...

ZOMG THIS IS SO MNML HIPSTER SHIT.

I get it now, I don't like Armin Van Boring's tracks, so why don't I just call them some genre I have no idea about like hardstyle/hardcore and call it shit?

You have some fail logic.

Minimal my ass: http://anjunabeats.com/anjunadeep-0...nd-james-grant/

Mnml... I'd say your several hundred klicks west of East Jesus. Nothing about this comp is mnml. IDE agree there are a couple of lackluster tracks, but taken as a whole the mix will have a different vibe than trying to make sense out of the individual tracks. To me this mix looks quite nice... And how much does a word mean when taken out of the context of a sentence???

The point of a message board is for people to come together and have discussions. That involves people of differing opinions talking about something in the same place. Moron.

And hell, for being from Anjuna, that Nu Dup song isn't completely dreadfully horrible. Odd. And it's most definitely not minimal. Idiot.

Posted by tranzaddict84 on Jan-23-2010 20:47:

I thought Anjunadeep: 01 was great. Feel good prog house/trance album. Guess the closest thing that might have resembled 'minimal' was
Komytea - 9, but just because it's minimalistic, doesn't mean it's not prog house.
