Eddie Halliwells BOSH
Just been looking through my old CD collection and found Eddie Halliwells first BOSH CD, Haven't heard it in ages and forgot just how good this was, well worth a listen for anyone who hasn't heard it. Great energy throughout the set.

yeah it was a good listen back in the day. was nice for mixmag to bring out a CD that wasnt funky house or sumthing else equally boring.
but most people on here will not appeciate BOSH
I appreciate BOSH
. I still have it somewhere, I think I'll stick it on later.

I honestly don't think he's ever sounded good. He completely butchers the dance music that he plays, which is already horrible in the first place.

| Originally posted by Acton When he started doing that was when he started going downhill. But before that, he was great. And to be honest, he was a DJ you needed to see live in order to get the full 'effect'. |

That being said, what Halliwell does would have me walk out of the club within seconds. I love turntablists too, and having been exposed to them for quite a bit in my life, i can safely say that he fails hard at it. Trance heads just think he is good, because he is one of the only ones in the genre that does it. Any purist would agree that his skills are laughable at best, and he doesn't play good enough music to make up for that. Some people like that crap abel ramos does too. |
i'm not trying to crucify you or anything, but even in his so called "glory days" his turntablist skills could not be classified as mediocre even.
I grew up watching guys like Kid Koala absolutely rape a turntable with skill and precision. There is no way you are going to make me think that the crap Halliwell did was ever good.

he's got some dj skill, but his taste in music is rather terrible. zabiela in his prime (03-05) was leaps and bounds better. in fact even zabiela today is better.

| Originally posted by Acton I remember a couple of years ago, one of the CDJ's broke during one of his gigs and he did an entire 2 hours using just one CD deck and a EFX unit. Awesome . |
