Eddie Halliwell - BOSH

Just been looking through my old CD collection and found Eddie Halliwells first BOSH CD, Haven't heard it in ages and forgot just how good this was, well worth a listen for anyone who hasn't heard it. Great energy throughout the set.

Is there any reason why you posted this in the COR as well?

I honestly don't think he's ever sounded good. He completely butchers the dance music that he plays, which is already horrible in the first place.

I always found Tom Harding to be a much better DJ who could mash up styles & actually pull off shit.

Sorry, about the chill out room post. Wasn't meant to be posted there.

I think hes a terrible dj now, but back in 2002 - 2004, I really enjoyed some of his sets, always brought a great energy to the crowd, sometimes over did it, but on the whole was entertaining.

I have never heard of Tom Harding, but would be interested in a listen. Could you reccomend any sets or albums?

Thanks.

he barely plays now, if at all sadly. He was based in Holland and around 2003-4-5 played some blinding sets. I dunno if they're around and I don't have anymore either

I'll look into it though, but he wasp laying some great hard stuff in like 2003-5ish

james zabiela makes eddie halliwell irrelevant

Posted by Schadenfreude on Jan-17-2010 01:39:

zabiela is just as irrelevant because he has not played a single good track in over 3 years.

Just yesterday I was thinking about how fucking awesome his sets used to be. There was this one year in the Summer I played his Renaissance mix every single fucking day on the way to the beach. And then he started playing Deadmau5...

I need to check out a recent set, maybe by miracle the guy's back to form. Hopefully.

i would say 4. still the fact remains, zabiela at his worst makes eddie irrelevant.

actually zabiela played a monster of a breaks track at nikki beach last year during wmc. i recorded it on my camera but the sound is all fucked

Gotta hand it to you on this. Plus one.

He's a fucking clown AND he's looking like a dumb-ass peasant. How the hell this guy is being taken seriously by anyone is beyond me.

Comparing Zabiela to Halliwell is ridiculous, yes they both scratched and loop tracks, but back in 2002 Zabelia played breaks and house whilst Eddie played trance and hardhouse, they were also playing to 2 completely different audiences.

I'm going to see Eddie on the 29th Jan at Digital, Newcastle, I can't wait for it! Got some brilliant up and coming dj's as well included, Claudia Cazacu, Jordan Suckley, Marcus Schossow and Gary Proud. I'm rather expecting Halliwell to steal the show mind.
