Favorite Sushi places in the GTA

lets make a master list of all the good/cheap sushi places in the gta:

Richmond Hill has a great place i went to today with my girlfriend, called SAN Sushi (i think), it's on Major Mac... we got 24 pieces of sushi/sashimi/rolls + 18 extra rolls of spicy salmon for $33

Brampton has a good all you can eat called 168, on Kennedy and Steels and it's about $18 a head...and they have everything. i've been to a few all you can eat places that don't have a lot of selection, but this place has a ton of selection.

Milton has a few i've been to, all in the same area of HWY 25 and Steels, prices aren't great, but SUSHI GO has good quality.

There was a place in scarborough that i used to go to called UMI sushi but i think that place has since closed down.

i really like tomo sushi in Richmond Hill

Sushi Kaji
860 The Queensway

Thornhill has Hockey Sushi and now Maki.

Woodbridge has Koganei.

Not sure if Japango is still around but that used to be a great place downtown.

And obviously there's Echo in North York if you want AYCE.

Pretty sure this thread is a dupe.

Koganei is really good but can get pricey.

Interesting, I've looked around quite a bit for sushi in that area but haven't heard of this place. Where is it?

the best sushi place is at this shop near pacific mall. Its a small restaurant i cant remember what its called. The sushi there is amazing.. Its a bit expensive though. Tomo sushi is alright. I had a bad experience with the white tuna before but the chef has ever since redeemed my trust in them. The otoro is great there.

Once you eat at a nice sushi place you can never go back to all you can eat. You;ll realise how garbage it is.

Really close to Koganei. In the same plaza as the Toys'r'us. My fiancee and i didn't think it would compare to Koganei but it's really good. They actually have a big green sign by the Chapters on Hwy 7.

I don't know about that. It's like saying that once you've eaten at Dangerous Dan's or the Golden Star, you can't go back to McDick's. Sure I can. The high-priced a la carte/omakase places are obviously much better but that's why they should be reserved for special occasions!

there are some decent all-you-can-eat places but the fish is mediocre at best. quality fish costs more so they can never serve that at all-you-can-eat.... unless they charge you $120. lol

I've had expensive sushi and all you can eat..there are some really good ayce's that have compared to the expensive shit or sometimes better..

At the end of the day, I'm sure a lot of these restaurants deal with the same suppliers.

Sushi City in Woodbridge
All you can eat lunch for $12 & dinner under $20

same suppliers doesnt necessarily mean same fish. they could have many different grades.

Akita Sushi. The place used to be pretty good but it really sucks now. Both the service & quality have gone downhill.

you can't really go that wrong with salmon.
