EWQL NAMM Sale Extended - RA Pianos, Fab4 & Symphonic Choirs

I just got back from a short ski vacation and found these in my inbox, thought I'd share. Anybody interested in a good piano or ethnic/world VST may want to check these out. EWQL is having a NAMM sale on the Pianos Gold Edition (reg. $349) and RA (ethnic instruments; reg. $395) - $195 each. The piano offer ends today and the RA deal ends tomorrow.

edit (1-20-09) - just got an email saying that the sale has been extended and expanded to include Fab Four and Symphonic Choirs (PLAY edition! If you've been wanting Symphonic Choirs, that's the lowest price I've ever seen on it.

God, I wish I could afford some of East West's stuff, the previews I've seen look incredible. Seems like a great deal but I still can't afford it right now :\

No, I haven't seen it yet. I'm sure those two plugins are amazing, but they're way out of my price range!

the hollywood strings demo seemed sort of redundant. Wasn't impressed at all. The strings sounded too wet and lacking in character. The demo piece at the end is exactly why hollywood music is so bad. Strings plus brass and no idea how to score woodwinds. It seems the people at VSL are the only ones concerned with a timeless realistic orchestral sound. Maybe it is just the people programming it but everything sounded like B rate trailer music.

I don't use "real" strings very often, so Kontakt fulfills my needs. I'm still pretty shocked by the sticker price for Hollywood Strings - $1500 for the Diamond edition pre-order! In this economy, I could probably keep an entire orchestra on-call for less than that!
