Review: Puff Puff Blow v10 (1 Year Anniversary) -- 01-19-2010

what a fantastic time tonight. i remember standing away from the "smoke circle" and thinking 'holy crap thats a lot of people'. i counted 24 at that time and a few more showed up afterwards.
good people + good shisha + good music = fun times.
thanks to all for coming out and supporting our love for hookah.
special thanks to all the djs that played: kotsy, addy saeed, nick cenik and mortyman.

see you all at the next one!

For those whom I was talking to about Weng Weng last night, here he is.

Like I said, for those of you who are just planning to chill at home on a Friday or Saturday night, be sure to check out CHCH (I'm pretty sure it's channel 11) out of Hamilton. They show stuff like this all the time & it's usually bloody hilarious.

I had a great time last night! It was a pleasure seeing lots of familiar faces

Thank you very much to Oz and Jay for having me - I really appreciate the welcome! And congrats on the one year anniversary boys.

Thanks again to Digi for hooking me up with a parking ticket.

Normally I like to play the techier side of house but I've been experimenting lately with the deeper stuff to get comfortable with opening time-slots, so it was nice to play some different style tunes last night.

Fun!

Please count me in for the next one!

Like I said last night, I enjoyed

That was a really great night.

Really impressed with the turn out - thank you all for for coming. It's always great to have a chance to talk to everyone without having to scream.

Music was great - I didnt know Mr.Morton played house!

Heather, Shawna (who fail at using TA) and Kayla (who will one day join) all had a fabulous time as well.

Thanks to Oz and Jay for a great night, a great year, and I look forward to many more great hookah nights in the future

ps... I just realized I used great 6 times... that's how GREAT it was

I had a great time. I haven't gone out to one of these in a while. I need to start going to them more often. This was the best one yet that I've been to.

Thanks a lot to Jay and Oz for doing this. It really is a fun weekday thing to do. It beats sitting at home and doing nothing, and is a nice alternative to just going for drinks.

I had fun last night. Was nice to play some new stuff I got and try it out (which was well received, thank you). I'll play whatever music the settings call for It's funny to think I've pigeonholed myself to play trance only, when it's definitely not the case... I just love it the most

I actually made a comment to someone about how I really liked the deep house stuff you were playing. Woulda told you but I'm shy as fuck.

All the DJs were great and the shisha was delicious. And I definitely was a lot less sober than I thought I'd be.

Good times.

SUCH a good time last night!! The turnout was amazing and lots of fun times were had. Thanks to Jay and Oz for 1 year or these parties. You guys are awesome for throwing these. I reminisced with Oz about the first one of these and how we were all tucked in the corner of the club by the speaker bc there was only about 10 of nice. Here's to another year of shisha!!

Like I said, I'll play whatever I think is called for, and I think that's what helps define a good DJ
I just don't play house as much because everyone in Toronto plays it. But if I had gigs where I had to play house, I would happily do it . I really do/would love to play it out more often, but I stick to trance mostly because it's seems to be a rarity amongst local DJ's, and I have a deep personal attachment to it. It's kinda nice being known as The Trance DJ (pigeon-holed), but versatility is key! How many house dj's play trance too? I could probably only count on 1 hand

Good times as always! Sorry I couldn't stick around for another Fran's/Kevin Nutbar post-meet-up - maybe when I'm less busy with work.

Definitely the biggest turnout I've ever seen at one of these - a few more and we'll have a full-on dance floor!

P.S. Matt - you forgot this one:
