Crash Filter

I'm sure everyone knows that sound in trance when the cymbals or crash fade in and then hit on the beat.(sorry for my poor explanation) I was wondering how that is done. Is it by filtering?
All advice is appreciated.

Reverse crash before the standard crash?
Maybe that will help. Im not sure exactly what your aiming for. Audio example?
PS: Prob should move this to the production forum.

That could be it, I lack the terminology most users have on this site, but that sounds right. How is that done?

A. take an already reversed crash sample...stick it before the normal crash so that it peaks when the other crash hits.

B. Take a normal crash sample...and reverse it...and do what i posted above.

Best thing to do is just experiment and try tons of stuff...might take some time to get what you want but in the end it will be a greater reward than having someone tell you exactly what to do.

Good luck
