Final Fantasy XIII

Im counting down the days till 09.03.2010, this game has so much hype to be the Epic FF game of all time. It has been in development for over four years now and people ate saying it's going to revolutionize the series. From what I've seem in previews and screen shots it looks like it's gonna live up to the hype (I would post some but I'm making this on my phone) I really hope number 13 is lucky fir squarenix, I know I'm not gonna be avilable for a few weeks in march

Same here. But I use a PC so I'm hoping it will come out for that soon afterwards...I've seen a preview or two and it looks amazing.

I've been playing Eve online for a bit on and off and it rocks, got an email to renew my character for half the price so I'm thinking of doing so just for kicks...wooooooo.

I figured if there was gonna be one it would have been the first available to pre-order

I'll keep an eye out for you guys...I have a buddy who's played for 5 years the prev FF online. I should be w him then do the occasional roaming solo...

I don't know if it would be wise for me to get XIV when it comes out though.... the whole online thing sucks sooooo much time out of life lol. That was fine when I was 19 :/

Seriously, I am only a casual player usually...would rather go out.

I used to try and balance that, a job, and a GF.


GF didn't make the cut.... or I didn't


god I was a nerd

and when I say balance there was absolutely nothing balanced about it.... the game usually got 8+ hours per day lol....

LOL. I only had 2 out of the 3 to worry about.

Whenever I settle down I'll probably be a more serious player. Usually come this time of year is when I play more vid games/mmorpgs...

1. I already pre-ordered and paid for this and GOW3 in full.

2. I play games until I get the platinum trophy.

3. I still have 4 games in the original shrink wrap because I have no time to play them.

So with that being said, I think when it comes to being a nerd, I make a good run

I heard the battles are intense. Especially the bosses. Which take up to an hour in some cases. My brother just bought a PS3 so ill probably buy a copy.

I won't pass the game. I'll probably just play it for a few hours then say meh I'm too busy. I never pass any games anymore. Even NHL09+FIFA10 I barely played because of my schedule.

Still fun to play when I have time. IF lol

Isn't this entirely online as well? Or is this single player AND online combined??

I feel your pain. I wasted so much life/Summer on this back then. But this was before I was old enough to party. I can't fathom dedicating time now to power level. I rarely have enough play time as it is :|

I'm stoked for FFXIII though... I have a bunch of games still piled up that I haven't had time to play.. and I probably won't play it until a year from now, but I'm still buying it!!

From what ive seen of reviews, the battles are much softer and almost every fight can be won by spamming attack. Theres no more shops and towns, as you buy everything from save points. Im waiting for the online counterpart in XIV, as I kinda liked XI but lived outside of Toronto with some crappy internet. Anyhow, im gonna skip this one, and wait to see what my buddies say, and probably borrow a copy. Bioware is more my type of RPG company. Btw, Mass Effect 2 is god damn sick crazy good.

I'd have to say I'm the same but I haven't played many FF games outside of FFVII myself to say. The idea of buying stuff at save pts vs shops seems like kind of a cop out, I'd love the idea more of visiting shops etc...keeps the Rpg type of feel more alive I think.

Bioware is still going eh? Mass Effect 2 is good? Last thing I even played Rpg wise was Baldur's Gate 2 and halfway through files got corrupted lost everything. Grrrr.

D3 I wasn't aware of this!!

I hope this FF ver will redem the series ... Anything after 7 starting to kill the franchise, tilte after title.

Sqaure started only caring for graphics and cut scene. It's all about gameplay and storyline, just like FF3

I'm not gonna get into that conversation


I do agree with you.... however I still loved all of them

This newest installment reminds me of FFVIII, which was my favourite in terms of setting and story.
