Good music to work out to and to work to.

I obviously doubt you guys will listen to the same albums when you work out as to when your studying/working...but you never know.

So, got a new mp3 player for the gym and for during study/work at uni and am planning on going on a mass music download spree (legal of course ) tonight.

What albums/artists do you listen in these situations?

Study: I found that acoustic/ambient stuff works well with me. Particuarly Rodrigo y Gabriella for some reason.

Working out:
- Cardio : Something with a fast tempo usually
- Weights: Something kinda with a bit attitude - vague i know...

If I'm working out because I'm in the mood to workout, I listen to gay sun-dawning uplifting trance I won't post examples lol

If I'm working out because I'm stressed, frustrated or angry, I put on old dirty grungey classics like Nirvana, NIN or the band Thornley

This is a typical answer from me, but psytrance has a high tempo/energy. DnB does too. Or you could try both.

Not really listened to any DnB...but yeah could be good. Can you recommend any artists/tracks/sets?

Only DnB is stuff i've heard on commercial radio...so...Pendulum really

Click the links that I posted. I don't really do DnB that much, so the cybernetika album is the best bet.

Also, Silexz has two good DnB tracks, Pandemonium and Entropy.

I always enjoyed SAW II for working, although I'm sure I'm doing it a disservice by rendering it mere background music.

I don't really like super uptempo stuff. Especially not for running. I get a better stride and more controlled pace with slower, deeper, groovier shit. Oh man I get pumped just thinking about having the right tunes for a run. RAWRRR.
