A good free spyware/adware removal program ASAP please!
Even though I have pop-up blocker turned on, I have had a major problem with internet today. Ads keep loading up over everything.
I have used: "Spybot - Search and Destroy" aswell as "Superantispyware" (Stupid name but usually works well. I have also deleted all cookies.
I hadn't done a scan for a few weeks and found out I had 10 Trojan Viruses and 8 or so other nastys. Apparently they're all cleared but i'm still having this problem.
I need to renew my subscription to Bullguard but am obviously a bit weary of doing so with all of these bugs on the PC.
Any ideas?

I saw Malwarebytes in the google search, but I've heard spyware can be deployed in fake anti-spyware software. I'll try it now and let you know how i get on.
I use Microsoft's free AV tool, it's pretty awesome. I was using Kaspersky before, and this program is on par, if not better. It certainly runs better in the background than Kaspersly did. If you're running a good system, you won't even notice it.

just back up your necessary junk and reformat... I always feel even with AV software that some of that infection gets left behind.
Kaspersky really is great, aside from how horribly it slowed down my machine (which is brand new) upon start up. Just get it off piratebay if you're averse to using MS products.
Gonna try Combofix now since Malwarebytes kept causing it to Bluescreen as soon as it began to scan.
i suggest doing it the old fashioned way...

yeah it's been said before but malwarebytes is pretty solid. I used to run ad-aware every now and then too but there doesn't seem to be any need for it any longer...

i have windows 7 and i use malewarebytes and it works perfectly
on my last laptop, which was fairly old, i had like 30 trojans and my computer got screwy and malewarebytes actually saved it from the brink of death
I just got a new laptop, and put AVG on it. That's all I have going now. Heard Windows Defender was decent, but I'd be up for some opinions on other options, preferably free.
what sites do you guys go on that you catch all of these things?

I don't do porn sites, but one does come across bugs by normal browsing, no? Less of course, but still.

| Originally posted by djnitride If combofix does not work, I would reformat at this point... Sounds like you have a rootkit... When it gets that bad IMO its just time to re install windows. Same with spybot s&d, were good programs in their day but they failed to keep up with the game. |
I've just noticed its only doing it now when I go onto google searches.
Also noticing in the bottom right corner its coming up with "[email protected]" which I know is a spyware site.
