Best night of music I've seen in years last year. Absolutely awesome!

Posted by nightpanda on Feb-08-2010 17:42:

this was an amazing party last year - intelligent music, sophisticated crowd: fantastic!

Hybrid doing a set showcasing their new album? Sign me up! Fuck Paul van Dyk, lol.

Argh why do they keep announcing things that I want to go to! Im not going to be able to move by the end of the week let alone attempt to get on the dancefloor. Would love to see Hybrid and Nick Warren here though, two of my fav DJs

This year we are also putting large fans around the room and the AC chillers have been updated as it did get rather warm last time Hope & Audio Therapy was the busiest night in Shine last year and the fire marshall closed it off around 1.30 so do come early, after that it'll be "one out, one in" strictly

Posted by nightpanda on Feb-08-2010 19:27:

lol - it did get warm... loved those chillers blowing down from the ceiling they saved me!

Haha, I danced so hard at this night, I actually struggled to walk back to my hotel after, and it was only 3 blocks! These guys tore that place up, incredible.

Warren & Seaman for $15, that's just crazy! Already bought a ticket for PVD@Space which is same night tho. First time at WMC and I've been told that I must visit Space. Nick Warren is amazing though, wish all decisions in life were like this...

Anyone know the approximate set times? Prob too early to know yet but I figured I'd ask.

Last year Nick & Dave came on about 12 and played b2b till finish, guess it'll be the same again.

There's a very big possiblity after last year. I just hope they put on as good as show, especially Dave Seaman, he played some tunes you just never saw coming, absolute stonkers.

It's between this, FSOB and Steve Lawler. But if I catch Lawler somewhere else and I see some of the DJs from FSOB at Ultra, I'll defo be here.

Check out my vids from last year, some good ones, and some amazing tunes!

Although I love Hybrid, I wouldn't count on them playing stuff from their new album.

I saw them DJ a few times around the time of their last album's release and they played electro, minimal, tech, and progressive all night until they just faded into their final track, Just For Today....that was the ONLY new track they played at the shows I saw.

So, unless they're doing a live show to support their new album (which they aren't at this party) I wouldn't count on hearing new 'Hybrid' tunes.

I'd agree with this. I'm a massive Hybrid fan and have been following them for as long as I can remember and they have never been ones to whore their own music.

Oh man. I love Nick Warren.
Ive never seen him live but he sounds amazing. He might drop and Ulrich Schnauss total orgasm.
And for $15 ? Especially now that Im on a budget. Id love to see PvD though but Ive seen him enough, I might really go catch this one.

We also have the extension to keep rocking till 7am

Posted by nightpanda on Feb-17-2010 17:51:

H&T went until 7 last year... a unique set that stood out in a week where i heard a lot of the same tunes over and over at other parties....
