[download/soundcloud] Falling Awake (Progressive House / Tech-House / Techno mix)

Forget any of my mixes that you've heard in the past 5 years, This is now my sound and where I am headed.
Hope you enjoy my newest mix which is a blend of pumpin' progressive, tech-house, and a splash of techno.
Thank you for listening.

I listened to your mix yesterday. First I want to acknowledge all the work you put into the project: artwork, setlist, etc. Very nice job.

Personally I'm not a fan of vocal tracks that much, so that track (or tracks?) kind of surprised me. It reminded me more of the vocal-trance stuff that I've heard *those* djs play.

When I think of progressive, tech-house and techno, I don't think of vocals. I'm not a dj though, and I don't typically buy tracks, so maybe I'm totally wrong concerning what type of track falls into a certain category. I just know what I like and don't like. For me, Digweed is #1 in this category. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In general I liked the mix, but the vocal track(s) didn't work for me.

Keep up the good work. Your mixing skills seem to me to be very good, and your presentation - artwork etc. - is excellent.

Hey, thanks for tuning in Matt! I appreciate your response.

As for digweed, I would place him in a different category... which needless to say he is the best at.

I'm sure many would agree that he plays on the much more calm side of the progressive genre, more of a minimal and experimental style where abstract sounds rule a more mild tempo of about 124 to 127 BPM range.

Digweed is king, but my track selection of Daniel Portman and Moonbeam compared to Diggers' style are apples and oranges.

Please don't take this response the wrong way, I really do appreciate your honest feedback. So thank you!
