Touche Inferno. That's interesting to know.

Are those guys DJs? I can't tell.

Geez....for all the trance listeners in Atlanta I figured there would be wayyy more hype.

Posted by Xevious on Feb-05-2010 00:16:

I'm interested

Don't only like 8 people on these forums actually like trance?

Not a lot hype to be expected from 8 people!

But ya, I'm intrigued too. Will probably go to this.

Atlanta locals, nothing wrong with that.

Perhaps a better writeup about them on the flyer or in the online posting would help.

I thought you were the one saying you needed a big name to enjoy a show?

Posted by iammesol on Feb-05-2010 15:30:

I was referring to the ultra-necessary DJ in front of their name.

Exactly. I'm intrigued too, but it's hard to get it hyped up when there are so few trance listeners on here.
Seppuku, there's no reason to try and start something else. I think most of us would prefer a bigger name, but that's not to say these guys couldn't entertain us.

i'm probably gonna go check it out. it's worth it for our trance starved city. it's only 10 bucks anyway and if I get to hear some decent music it will have been worth it.

Nice! Glad to see something like this going down. Good luck!

Great to see a trance event with all local DJs. I'll probably be there as well to support the local scene. Anyone know what room this will be in? Hell would be preferable.

fucking snow makes it difficult to get there now...
Should I stay or should I go?!

Psh, no wintry mix can keep me away from the insane beats of DJ Syntronik.

... Now I'm a little worried that I'll be the only person there, though.

How'd this turn out?

Really bummed I couldn't make it. But traffic sucked on i-75s since the roads were iced over.

My prediction was mostly correct.

Actually, the city roads didn't seem so bad around 10-11pm, but they were completely frozen over after midnight. The DJs and their friends were cool and enthusiastic, and the presales exceeded their expectations, but it seems like there were only 6-10 people who weren't paid to be there; everyone else stayed home due to the weather.

The event was in Purgatory, and the lighting, track selection (including both classics and newer releases), and sound were great. I enjoyed it, but the tiny turnout hurt the vibe, obviously. Thankfully it was just a dress rehearsal for a larger event, since the promoters plan to try this again some other time when the weather doesn't thwart them.

The event ended early (shortly after midnight), but this was actually very fortunate, as I would not have found a cab and might have frozen to death if I had stayed until 2am. :P

Good times, bizarre night -- should keep me satisfied until it's time for Andy Mooooor on Friday! Yeeaaaah ...

EDIT: Er, just read in the other thread that you aren't going to Andy Moor, actually. Sorry! Didn't mean to rub it in.

Haha, glad to hear the tracks and sound system were really good. And no sweat about the Andy Moor comment. I decided to go to a third event for WMC...and I wanna make sure I got money to spend at all those parties
