so i saw 'perpetuous dreamer' last night....

i went out in jersey to see some friends spin and afterwards this dutch girl sang sound of goodbye. that song is a bit overplayed and to hear it sung live like that totally beat it to death.

either way it was a fun night. who knew they had phazon in jersey? too bad they didn't turn it on until the commercial dj came on.

I still don't believe it's the same Perpetuous Dreamer that sings Armin's song. I think she stole the name and just became famous because has a similar voice. When she performed at Exit I thought she sang another song originaly sung by Jan Johnson. Does anyone have an Armin vinyl that states her real name? I can't figure out why Armin's million dollar vocal sensation is singing every weekend at a NY/NJ club.

PS, Don't knock that song. Thanksgiving Eve @ Exit when Funkmaster Flex came on (bad time to start peaking) I thought my night was ruined for sure. I went up to the red room and sound of goodbye came on. It made my whole night.

and tom, it was definitely the same girl. i don't know if she stole the name or if it is jersey's way of promoting her. she couldn't come to a real club cause all she is doing is singing one song with some seriously cheesy dancing and then the dj returns to some seriously commercial KTU like music.

but i still had a fun time last night. i have to give credit to roninmess, who seems to have a good time regardless of the cheesiness of the music and having not so likeable people there.

manny the greek didn't really do anything for me but my legs had stopped working fully by the time he came on so I was ready to go anyway.

That proves it!! She is definately a fake. Sarah McLachlan sings Silence, and not Perpetous Dreamer. Those are the only 2 songs this Perpetous Dreamer knows. The second song she sang at Exit was also Silence. I mixed it up with Jan Johnson's Flesh at the time was real messed up

Now I wonder if there is a bunch of them. I bet Exit has like 3 or 4 Perpetous Dreamer's just in case their other main acts don't show up (example: Lasgo 3 weeks ago). This way they always have someone to throw on in short notice.

Its weird that radio stations get a hold of appealing vocal trance tracks like a year after they are released. I always wondered, don't they pay good money to some person to go out and find new stuff to play?
Well if they get it a year later, then they should really hire some new staff. I mean, if they hired me, i would give them many tracks old and new that are too commercial for uplifting trance but that never got played on radio.

Yeah her performance sucked wed. night. My boys Mike and Paulie opened up for Manny. They all did a good job. The robbie rivera mix of the sound of goodbye is the version they play on the radio now, not the original.

just north of the shore, not too far from staten island. it is a complete waste of a sound system. unless you have a reason to go there (i.e. friends spinning), don't waste your time with jersey clubs.
