Great thread..... will be using it soon.

I can no longer be a McLaren fan, even though i was one for like..... 10 years?

I really want shumi to do good, but i doubt ill be rooting for Mercedes.

I have officially become a fan of the redbull team.

I am also exited to see what kobayashi can do.

I love the virgin livery, also Renault

I wonder if we'll be adding Stefan GP to that list

Funny how Williams and Lotus "spy shots" are taken in the same spot

I'm super hyped for this ^ The Sauber looks rad and their testing times have been pretty decent for whatever that's worth at this point. This kid was super impressive in the last few races last year.

I love the McLaren exhausts.

I'm excited to see what Schu can do.

I want Lotus to win one for nostalgia-sake though I doubt that will happen.

I like the new points system and hope it will do as intended and make drivers fight for that one extra place.

I love the refueling ban. I think that will create an interesting dynamic especially early in the season while everyone gets used to it.

Ultimately, I don't know if there's one team or driver I will stick with all season. I'm excited for the unknown's this season and for the variety. I think there's a lot of positives going into it and hopefully it lives up to my own excitement

So no surprise, USF1 can't make the grid this year.

Shame that the Serbian guy who bought all the Toyota F1 kit wasn't allowed to field a team this year. I wouldn't have wanted to deal with Jacques Villeneuve racing (and bitching) again but at least there would be another team on the grid.

It just sounds like a cheap move by USF1 delaying announcing the inevitable until as late as possible so as to prevent any other team from taking their spot.

Looking forward to next weekend for the first race!!

+1 on all of that.

really looking forward to this season.

Massa and Vettel are my top 2.

Hoping Kubica can do something with that killer bee car.
the great Senna name returns to F1! my dad would be so happy.
Excited to see so many potential competitive teams duke it out.
complete garbage is all I have to say about USF1.

Posted by pmoisse on Mar-12-2010 18:42:

I love the new McLaren trick this year. Brilliant!

All the other teams will try to play catch up but since the monocoque is a homologated unit, they'll need to re-certify their tubs nevermind the re-engineering involved.

Posted by nchs09 on Mar-15-2010 04:35:

A bit boring, most of the racing was done by the end of grid.... great to see racing though, so i am just happy to see f1 cars on the track

those pit stops are so fucking quick..... oldschool.

Posted by stren on Mar-15-2010 08:36:

1 pit stop, and a procession, oh boy

Yeah. That was poop.

They need to either bring way softer tires to the track that won't last that long, or something else to stop the funeral procession of shit.

Good racing mid-pack and lower though. Good work by both Virgin and Lotus

Sauber was a let down. I was expecting more from them

FOTA will be looking into mandatory 2 stops, and maybe asking Bridgestone for less durable tyres. They are having a conference on thursday.
Lotus best reliability among new teams. Virgin had some speed over them, but they didn't reach the end. Sauber was a letdown indeed

Posted by bananas on Mar-17-2010 23:35:

they better change the rules, cause the first race was one of the most boring evar.

glad to see Vettel doing good, rooting for him and massa and shumi of course.

Top 3 grid position for tomorrow's Oz GP.

1. Vettel
2. Webber
3. Alonso

should be great. i think Alonso can win it.

Once again I have high hopes for an interesting race, but after the opener in Bahrain, my enthusiasm is dulled somewhat.

Some rain mid-race would certainly shake things up

Posted by pmoisse on Mar-28-2010 07:48:

Good race today! Well worth getting up early for it

Posted by stren on Mar-28-2010 13:19:

9/10, great race! Kubica FTW, great drive by him without any mistakes, while others did have some

Posted by pmoisse on Mar-28-2010 13:48:

Hamilton was a whiny little **** once again because of his tyre strategy.

Shut up and drive FFS and certainly don't mouth off to your team to the BBC and on the in car radio which everyone can hear.

Kubica drove really well. Great result for him and Renault

Good run for Chandhok too, getting some mileage and the car proving reliable enough to get to the end
