CDJ 800 MK1 - help?-

I do not own one of these nor have I even touched one. I am playing a gig tonight with these and I heard they don't play certain types of cds. Could someone please elaborate ?

I think the mk1's just don't play mp3s (only audio) but that shouldn't really be an issue as you'd never want to do that anyway.

Don't worry, you'll be fine - they're easy to use.

Want there an issue with VBR mp3s? Or maybe I'm getting confused with a CDJ-200 issue.

ooh, not sure, but think I remember something about that too. I think the VBR thing was a 200 issue if I rememebr right.

I know the CDJ800 mk1's don't play any mp3's though (my mate got real death threats from a guy he sold his mk1's to when the guy found out they didn't play mp3's).

I own a pair, NO MP3 Playback on the MK1's. MK2's do support MP3's.

Yeah, no mp3 compatibility on the mk1, and the vbr mp3 issue is a 200 issue.

I've never touched an mk1 but the mk2 is very nice. My only minor issue was the pitch ratio being 0.05 instead of 0.02.

MK2's are ACE!!! MK1's are blah!!! The pitch ratio don't matter to me.
