my old lion dance group will raise their heads at midnight tonight to ring in the new year. it's a yearly tradition. it'll be a 10-15 minute performance in Chinatown, NY at 51 Bayard St. Possible, light martial arts demonstration, but given the slush that still remains, it may be ruled out.

they then again, will ring in the new year tomorrow, starting at 11-12. and lasting till 5-6pm.

the name of the group is called Tai Pan Association. please support them! the group is led by old-school martial artists and at the end of the day, after parading around the community, they will gather all 6 heads and finish out with a "bang". (all out performance followed by martial arts demonstration) - not Tiesto In Concert material, but you get the point.

ps. ferry was insane last night
