Question american trance ???

the other day I decided to go to a local store ( quonset hut ) to go and check out their record collection ( I knew it in the past they sold records but had never checked them out ) and I didn't know a single thing they had! and I didn't find anything I was searching for either ..... all these things brought me to this one conclusion :

anyone know some good american trance?

I went through their stuff and randomly picked out records trying to see what they had .... and I liked some of the stuff of which I spotted out :

moonshine records ,

they have a lot of cool stuff , and I was only happy to have to pay 5 bucks for a record instead of crazy 10 $ a piece for imports .....

walking out of that place made me draw this conclusion , on trance addict we "all" listen to the same tunes , and that makes us miss out on a lot of stuff ...... well don't get me wrong I might also be mistaken on the part that most of the stuff we listen to is european,I'm only assuming cause I rarely go around getting info on the producers ....

here's my two cents

american trance

Deepsky produced some good trance tracks in the past such as Cosmic Dancer,Stargazer & Promethean Groove. Also check out the Aquanauts Deep Sea. It was written by Ariel Baund & Luis Diaz of Miami. George Acosta has lots of stuff out too. Thomas Trouble does trance songs for Blutonium records. Mars & Mystre,Dyloot,Kimbal Collins, & Vicious Vic are a few more names. Some labels that put ou trance are Moonshine & Radikal records. Radikal puts out lots of the popular European trance in America.

I love it when others try to put down the usa..I think it is hilarious.

and yeah, what about detroit techno, I seen a bit o it, it is decent, if my opinion counts for anything (since I am american it shouldn't count eh)

whaaaat????

you all hatters.....C. Lawrence will spin with any of the top dj's

Some nice tracks to come out of the States...

Markus Schulz "You Won't See Me Cry" (Deepsky Desert Farewell Mix) - This is a classic!
Christopher Lawrence "Interceptor" - Excellent tune, "Rush Hour" and "Renegade" of his are also worth checking out.
George Acosta "Emotions" - Very Eurotrancey, very uplifting and really nice.

Also, Max Graham is from Canada and he has plenty of great stuff.

that's bulltish

the trance scene may be sucky (i don't care about it, anyways) but North America sure has some excellent techno and hardcore producers! i would even say quite a few of them!

Hmm... quoting myself here... anyway...

I don't really give a flying f**k where the stuff I'm listening is coming from.

If I like it, I like it (even if it ain't trance... eek! )

I agree with you!
Quality Trance could never be produced here in America, because the people here are different, and the culture is different too!
Trance is European music, and it's about European culture...

i agree with you THIS MUCH
when i hear a good tune i usually say, what in the blue fuck was that, not oooh, i wonder if this is american or not...

and yeah. BT

Posted by dj kinetica on Jul-13-2002 04:32:

all your euros saying trance is only good if it comes from an european producer shut your smelly mouths...damn you guys are gay...i will agree that many of the top djs and producers are from europe but compared to the u.s trance is much more dominated...in the u.s, hip hop and alternative music is pretty much the thing to listen to and i know there are people and europe that are trying to become hip hop artists or alternative musicians...and what do you tell those guys eh? "sorry hip hop is american only...so stop because your music sucks?" ignorant people up in here..
