Tiesto - San Francisco April 11, 2010 TIX already $60?! WTF!

What's up with this?? $60 tickets to start??? Not even giving the loyal spundae Ruby Skye followers a time to buy tix at $40??

MY birthday is APRIL 11!! Was excited when I saw that Tiesto would be here but $60?! MY GOD!!!

How much will they be at the door? 120?!

either bend over for tiesto or let the next guy do it

Here is the thing, besides the music, people buy into the crazy salty atmosphere a Tiesto event brings to a club. Some people love the jam packedness of a club and everything involved with being a sardine in a can, with lights flashing around them. So some folks dont mind paying $60 for Tiesto, deep down inside everyone wants to be a sardine.

$60 is a steal compared to how much Haze in Las Vegas charged NYE.

To my knowledge, Spundae doesn't have any involvement with this event at its current status. Since it seems to be a night presented by Ruby Skye, they have control over their ticketing sales.

Tiesto will be at HAZE in Vegas around the same time. Hopefully it wont be a gazillion dollars to get in cause I'm gonna be there that weekend! lol

Oh abd btw I am not going to the show. My gf is not well. so if any of you TA's want the ticket lmk, I can give it to you guys for cost $75.00

only condition is you guys have to pick it up from Cupertino. I wanna put it on craigslist, but fuck it.

RS doesn't have to rely on us trance-heads when they book Tiesto. His name is big enough that they can cater the night to people willing to spend more...because they haaaaaavvvvvveeeeeee to be at a Tiesto show.

Just like for Oakenfold. Never gets much hype on here, but he still fills up clubs no problem, on name recognition alone.

And BTW, I think those Tiesto @ HAze tickets started at $60, and skyrocketed from there.

yup. agreed. No chatter here, but 43 comments on the FB post by RS yesterday. TAs who post a lot here seem to be done with him. I actually didn't go. Conveniently, I have a cold anyways. (I actually had to skip the Giants game and I had good tickets - I couldn't have handled it even without the 4-hour rain delay.).

I'm just tired of the whole Tiesto drama. If it had started at a lower price, I might have been conned into it since the last show was actually really good. But for that price, too much of a risk of a fail and not getting your money's worth, so I let some douche-bag pay the $70 instead. I'm sure he had a good time, grabbed a few asses, and spilled some champagne on some other clowns.

my friend went to Haze and bought a late presale for $140

I also skipped the show.. could not justify paying over $60 for Tiesto..

Yup! I think most trance addict (including myself) are over Tiesto. Tiesto is great DJ for a EDM newbie, but not for the experienced EDMer. I've been picking Erick Morillo @ Tao over Tiesto @ Jet/Bank/Haze Memorial and Labor Day weekends for a number of years now.

You guys are all losers that no nothing about EDM. Tiesto is Jesus re-incarnated into a tall, lanky dutch guy with a big forehead.

I mean the last time when he played at cow palace , in 2009 I mean there were 6 or 7 threads going on at the same time. so it was suprising to see that there was just one thread and it was on page 6 or something.

I had to bump it up.

We had 2 tiks, my gf and I decided not to go coz we watched him the last four times he came here.
