Stereo Mix Bus EQ

I was working on a tune the other day and the spectral balance was 'off' so I disabled all channel EQs and felt the result was too muddy and lacked any presence when A/B compared to a CD.

A few Dbs dip around 300Hz and a small boost around 8Khz (both with wide-ish Q widths) very quickly made everything sound a more CD-mastered-like sound and less 'brittle' than multiple channel EQs did- "titled forward" is what I would describe it as.

What sort of EQ do folks here use (if any) on the mix bus or do you rely on EQing every individual sound to create a more polished mix?

i eq every track for max control

i try and keep the master strip blank, except for an adaptive limiter to keep the volume up a bit since i mix at fairly low levels...
