Review: Cosmic Gate

ONE WORD!!!!! CRAP!!!!!!!!!

The first two hours they were playing shit that I wouldn't even listen to while trying to sleep. I honestly do not know what the fuck people are on during these parties but you need to tone down on that shit. If you compare it to The Thrillseekers from last week there is a night and day comparison.

I really hope they got better by the time that I am writing this, but in all honesty you can't start playing crap for the first 2 hours and expect for people to enjoy your set afterwards.

It was just a matter of getting into it... LOVE THE BEADS<3<3<3 MISSKITTEN WON! well she had to do a lot of investigating. jon jon held down acid very well and played longest road.. good job man! probably song of the night.. well the joris track after was good too.. Cosmic layed down a bunch of good tunes and grabbed some good videos as well. Gallery seemed a bit loud but it was kickin when deko-ze came on.. greg gow - didn'tcatch much of his stuff but for the short time it was decent! left pretty early and it's still going, best to take it easy and not over-do it.

only thing i missed was the ability to clap my hands

I was supposed to interview them last night, but the confirmation from Barry (who asked me) came so close as to be literally last minute, I didn't bother to go. Looks like I'm glad I didn't. Been going out too much this year anyway.

I'll bet Gallery was good though!

ya.. sooo u look at the flyer and it says 1500$ cash prize for most beads!!! we got in there and started collecting like busy bees!!! now... from what I heard from some promoters was that the contest wasn't going to take place... reason they didn't display or have some kinda pause between the music was no room to call up the lucky winners.. No stage like they do for Halloween.

soo.. i am not sure how much was given away and I'm not sure if i should reveal how much she got but lets just say misskitten had the best night ever! and no she didn't get over 500.

guv must of made a typo and should have put 500 cash prize... also 2nd place gets a share..

+1!! i'm very disappointed in them! i came out with a girlfriend of mine who's been out of the scene for a while and she decided to come last mintute, thats why i wasn't hanging out with you guys much. the crowd was beyond effed up. it is not the same anymore if you compare it to the previous years. on top of that, as much as i love CG their set had no flow, thus making me leave at 3 am!

i will be very selective in attending gigs at Guv from now on. im taking a long break till April for ASOT 450!! thank god for Vola Lounge and Pure Trance for booking some great djs till May!!

Unfortunately I'm not surprised by the reviews. Cosmic Gate is GREAT to hear.... if you've never heard them before. After the first time, it's the same old recycled shit.

I was really pumped to see them, but they started off weak, which didn't hype me up as much as i wanted to be.
Their set started to pick up around 3:30-ish and ended with Exploration of Space <3 !
Compared to all the other times I've see them, this was probably their weakest, but was definitely still enjoyable. And I still stand behind thinking they have the best DJ-to-crowd interaction I've seen.

I think if a tracklist is put together, you will see that they played some GREATTTT tracks, the problem was just the flow at some points... They will never disappoint me though because they're cosmic gate... I had a great time
