*pacha update*

i was at pacha last night
i get on the line to the front and the bouncer told me to unzip my jacket, i was wearing a sweater underneath
he told me "i will let you slide this week, but these past few weeks and the next few weeks we are giving people warnings about our new dress code for saturday nights, but after that we are going to stricly enforce a dress code, all guys must have a button down shirt"

i asked does the same rule go for friday nights? he told me he was not sure, but after what they did to big mike a few weeks ago i would asume so
so i suggest any guys who are planning to hit up pacha in the next few weeks dress a lil more proper

i guess pacha is tryin to be a lil more upscale
and weed out the ed hardy d-bags

not a bad idea as long as they warn people in advance.

did u make it to work?

Posted by gimmebeatz on Feb-21-2010 14:54:

i cant say i agree with the dress code. as long as someone doesnt come in looking like either a scumbag or a thug, i think jeans and a t shirt should be more than fine to enter a club to dance all night. i mean look at the guvernment for example. no dress code...hats, hoodies, t shirts are all aceeptable. i realize its 2 different cities but same idea behind the club scene.

Thats not to bad, i usually wear a button down anyway.

As long as its stated in advance then it is fair in my opinion.

About time Pacha did this. I might just might take them off my avoid list now. Ive always worn a button down to clubs, so it wouldnt matter to me. I wonder how theyll control the d-bags inside though thatll decide to take them off though. As long as they are giving warnings to people these weeks, then I fully support their new policy.

I am interested to know if this is for Fridays too.... a lot of people that go are under 21, and go with a t-shirt..... I am one of them, but I switch it up with button downs from time to time.

Posted by StarSoprano426 on Feb-21-2010 19:09:

That's not so bad. I'm glad they're telling people in advance this time.

I hope they don't start saying that ladies need to wear heels though. I would fall and crack my head open if I tried to wear heels, lol.

I'm an old skooler and i completely agree with some sort of dress code...

Call me ol fashion but i actually miss the days of when a guy couldn't wear jeans and a t-shirt to a club...

i do think Pacha can learn something from this club...

+1, while i havent been around much, I was surprised to see clubs being too lenient when I started going out. nice picture btw.

EDIT: I dont see myself wearing slacks though to a club for a trance/house event.

I kinda feel like that is a little too much.... even though the place wants to be upscale, many people to go a club to dance and have fun. It is a lot more comfortable to dance in jeans and a t shirt than it is a pair of slacks and a dress shirt. Dont get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with Pacha attempting to look a bit more classier, but they also have to think about how to make the customers happy.

clearly you have never been to a bar mitzvah. hahAHaHahAha lololol

I think that's what Massive should do. Felner get on it!! Pacha bar mitzvah party. with guy gerber and shlomi aber. and you can make t shirts and we can play coke-pepsi and everything!!!

It's quite a joke when clubs that play techno or house music try to enforce a dress code.

Not that I care because I can't stand Pacha and it would take a combination of me being the right mood and great DJs to get me in there, but I completely agree with this. Even Cielo, which is far more classy than Pacha could ever hope to be, doesn't mandate button up shirts.

Secondly, does anyone remember when Crobar was like this when they opened?

Lastly, about the Ed Hardy d-bags (which most of them are), doesn't anyone remember this pic? These guys all should be let in under Pacha's new dress code.

Easily...kick em out or threaten to kick em out...thats what Webster does

I would like an update on M2...i feel like this isn't a coincidence that Pacha is stepping up their clientele as M2 is getting shut down.

+1!!!!!!!!!!

Still, the dress code won't really make much of a difference.

Thugs <> Button Downed Thugs
Guidos <> Classy Guidos
Cracked Out Asians <> Upscale Cracked Out Asians

At least you guys can still wear jeans & sneakers... until the Pacha Gods decide otherwise
